I'd guess it's Mendoza just cause it makes the most obvious sense. Mateer is probably the best Qb that could be in the portal, but appears to likely be following his OC to OU, even if it's dumb. Ewers imo is probably going draft even though he's not even going to be a top 3 QB drafted (Cam, Shadeur, Allar).

But if it's a young guy Lagway, Raiola, and Julian Sayin all add up.

Back in late September he told us that the starter would either be Emory or Mendoza.

Mateer can throw but he is a running qb as well and i think we are interested. Running qbs are apart of modern football, use it as an advantage

That he's Mario's friends son is irrelevant to how good he may be, so as usual, silly attempt at making a point just to attack Mario. Mendoza isn't the top QB in the portal, but he's a quality QB that already has reported interest from UGA, Indiana, Wisconsin, and UCLA and likely many other teams as well. If we don't get Mateer, he is one of the better 2nd options in the portal right now

The post was made SEPTEMBER 24TH that he was the choice -- before Mateer, before the portal, before the list of available players -- that is the issue

...and we are going all out for Mateer per all credible sources. Having identified Mendoza as a top potential target back in September sounds like smart scouting given the attention he is getting from big name teams now. Doesn't mean he's our top or only target, as we are seeing

It’s crazy cause I thought the roster next season we would be stacked When Mario first got hired. And it’s not even close to that, what’s more bothering are the misses that hurt us which I thought he would get when he was hired.

(Misses meaning if we target a guy and do not get them it’s considered a miss to me, this doesn’t just pertain to just sfla kids)

And if those are our qbs, our rosters have to be completely stacked and it’s not. I would be hella worried if those are our starters with the roster the way it is. And if we don’t land big names in the portal we will take a big drop off next season.

Getting the best QB is the goal. I’m referring to the credible source indicating in September it was Mendoza or Emory which I think deciding at that point would be illogical.
