Game 3 vs UVA "Brunch with the Canes" now in rain delay

Scouts wanted to see ADC develop as a catcher. In my opinion, they are trying to help him do so. At the detriment of the team a little bit.
As a Canes fan, I could care less and they have seen enough to know where he'll play by now. He ain't being drafted for his defense.

They might say that recruit “great kids” but let’s be real here. They have the top two prospects in the draft. Leiter was a no brainer top 2 round pick out of high school and still showed up on campus. They bring in top notch kids and develop them even further. They only look like great kids bc they play hard and as a team.
They have buit their program into what it is. They have the luxury to be selective, They don't have all of the best players. Nobody does. Otherwise, every Vandy player would be a 1st round draft pick. Of the best players available, they choose guys that fit their program. They have a program identity that they maintain.

I think you’re right and I don’t get it. That’s what the minor leagues are for. If you can hit, you can make a big league roster. Right now he’s not a good enough catcher to make that happen on its own, so why handicap the only tool that’s gonna get him there?

I didn't miss anything. It absolutely has to do with talent. Understanding baseball is part of the overall talent package.
Listen up. You're stuck on stupid. I paraphrased what the game announcers said when they interviewd the Vandy HC. So, you going to say the Vandy coach doesn't know what he's talking about?

Well out of high school he was known for his offense this is his first full year as a catcher, its going to be a work in progress for him defensively. I'd have perez catch on Sundays and put Del Castillo at DH.
Which further makes my point that we don’t need to take away form his bat to force him to catch

They want to know whether he has a premium on him as a catcher that can hit when they draft. But as you’ve argued since the fall it’s not working, so that favor to Del and the scouts needs to be done or limited now.

You love to quote announcers, don't you. That's the sign of someone who needs justification, because they aren't too sure of themselves.

I think Tim Corbin is the greatest coach alive. The fact that you think I mean the opposite is indicative of your intellect. You've never heard of ABCA, but I've heard Corbin speak there many times. I know infinitely more about his culture than you do.

Exactly. Left handed hitting catcher are worth their weight in gold and as I’ve said for months now, he’s not Bart or Rutschman. That’s not a knock on ADC, it just is what it is. There’s no need to try to force him to be those guys. By now all scouts should be able to see that.

Still not sure why you don’t bump Gabe to 6th and not have three consecutive lefties followed by two righties.
