Article with Gall on Canesport saying what he thinks about Miami's chances with some of the top players left.

Summary

Bryant- Believes it's FSU - says he doesn't think Bryant likes how Miami is recruiting other DT's.
Coley - Unsure - says that losing McDonald hurt but it is still up in air.
Collins - Miami - thinks the lure of staying home and playing locally is too good to pass up. Says he think he might be trying to build up recruiting at his H.S.
Cunningham - Unsure - Says maybe if staff doesn't get Coley he is the guy.
R. Foster - long shot
Grace - Cane
D. Green - outside shot but doesn't see him coming to the U.
Kirkland - FSU - think's he's been bouncing around but right now he thinks he is leaning FSU.
AQM - didn't really give a predicition. Said he thinks a couple of these DL recruits may look at Miami and say they can be the face of the DL for a couple years.
6 - Miami - Thinks playing locally and having a lot of interest lately will sway him to the U.
T. Williams - No idea.

The only thing above that surprises me is Kirkland. I thought he would be the lock between him and 6.

He said with Coley he said he thought Miami had the lead but losing McDonald kind of put us back a step.

lol, DL is a position where you take numerous guys every year. Hey Keith, you play more than 2 DTs a game.

Thats exactly how I felt after watching Coley in that interview yesterday, Seems like McDonald was his obvious lead and when he left it leaves him in the air. Hopefully we can get a good position coach who he can feel comfortable with but with only a couple weeks left it might be an uphill climb

A tidbit to remember in regards to Coley is although McDonald was recruiting him and was going to be his position coach, Richardson it has been stated is his main recruiter.

i think this is incorrect. From the way our staff recruits each coach has an area, once a player has been targeted he is passed to the position coach, now I am sure Richardson kept in contact but McDonald was the main recruiter and if you watch the Coley video posted yesterday he said as much. Richardson will try his best to keep those lines of communication open but Coley seems to want to know who will be coaching him before he makes a decision.

"Keith Bryant reminds me of the entitlement attitude that was here under the old guy"

I completely agree. If the dude doesn't want to come here because he's afraid of competition, let him go elsewhere. He's apparently not bright enough to realize that he's going to have competition wherever he goes and, with his entitlement attitude, he'll end up being another Forston........ never lived up to expectations and went undrafted.

We need players like Duke and Gall who really like competing and don't have the "It's all about me" attitude.

Watching the video, it seems Coley was going to Miami in his mind and McDonald leaving opened it up. Their relationship must have progressed fast, because McDonald wasn't in the picture that long.

IMO, if Coley gets a good vibe from the new receivers coach and thinks it is someone who will have his back, he will be a Cane.

Ther read interview with Coley where he explicitly stated that his position coach was really important to him. IIRC, even his HS coach said that one of the things that he preached to Coley was to go to a place where he had a god relationship with said coach. It's tough to see him coming here despite his great visit, and him seeming to lean here when we don't have a position coach for him. This along with Green in his ear about FSU doesn't tickle me pink and I don't love our chances.

Having said that, I trust in Golden and I'm exited to see where the chips fall...

Bryant not liking Miami recruiting other DTs.
Favors FSU who has a crap load of DTs.

Seems legit...
