Gabe Taylor

Ronald Delancy CB Mnw out of dade off head.

Committed to a major P5 in Nebraska, plenty of other offers, not a guaranteed get. You don't think it likely Taylor would be a similarly ranked and sought after 3 star at the least if he had played more in HS? Again it's easy to pick out surer bets that we'd rather take, I concede that. But unless this team has a major turn around and absolutely dominates every game the rest of this season and wins a bowl, we hardly have our pick of the crop.

I will take a risky pick with high potential upside that wants to be a Cane over a slightly less risky whatever. Butch wasn't picking out 5 stars, he engineered the greatest team of all time by picking out under recruited diamonds in the rough that wanted to be Canes.

Take away his name and y’all wouldn’t want anything to do with him. He is what he is a Rhode Island type of recruit. Him as a PWO makes sense but In no way should it be an actual scholarship offer.

Except the dude has a name, and it's Taylor. This isn't NCAA video game football with generic characters. There's a lot that goes into qualitative assessments, and being the brother of one of the all time greats in this program and a genetic freak isn't an irrelevant detail you just brush off as completely inconsequential.

I don't get this **** at times....u got a local db that shows on tape that he can ball and we don't offer. I just watched his tape cause I trust @gogeta4 and the kid is a take foreal

It's frustrating. I've watched a lot of MNW (I'm the white guy in the UM shirt who isn't Manny if anyone wants to say hi 🤣). We make **** hard on ourselves. TuTu Atwell is going to be an interesting kid to watch tomorrow. QB @ MNW, converted to WR but his athleticism in HS was so apparent. Someone on here who shall remain nameless said he'd be a tweener CB at best in P5. 🙄

I've seen Taylor a lot too. His instincts and athleticism are apparent, hence the production. I won't get into the rest because I don't have the energy for it, and once people see Taylor and pick 6 in the same sentence, they don't want to hear it. I'll say I agree with @gogeta4.

Pretty sure that isn't why we did offer Wilson. That reason has been discussed plenty of times

Yeah I have read all that stuff on here, one year it was Wilson, 10 years ago it Ricardo Allen (turned out Shannon was just dumb) who had beef with someone else we were recruiting. UM is by far and away one of the most snake bit schools when it comes to navigating these treacherous terrains, and we are always on the wrong side of them, too. In short, didn't buy it then, don't buy it now.

Listed as 5'10, now u lyin.

Also Bandy, and plenty other players. Since when do we write off someone for height? Especially at DB? That's not exactly the only measure of innate ability.
Okay I get it your new to recruiting. Being listed at a height doesn’t mean he’s actually that and if you think he is really 5’10” then Idk what to say to that. Bandy balled out against legit competition and had plenty of offers.

I haven’t kept up on recruiting with Gabe Taylor other than sounded like our corches weren’t looking to offer Gabe. Anyone have an update on if/when he was signing? I know he was another one begging for a U offer.

RIP ST26

Holds stud offers from Rhode Island and Coastal Carolina...and yes, many on this site will
Continue their Diaz bashing witch-hunt that should offer. If he were to accept, the same crowd would bash Diaz for offering.
