Oh I’m with you. I don’t want to turn this into another one of those threads but the majority of people here are capable of talking about the good and the bad. There’s a few that only do one or the other and I have no interest talking about the team with them.

End of the day we’re all just coping hoping for the best with these guys. Anyone sitting through this season so far deserves to let it out when they need to 😂

I personally think 10 pt spread is too low, regardless of QB. But I also understand why it would be that low.

My gut/heart says this should be a 21+ pt victory if the team plays the right way.
 
Our defense can't win this game, but our OL can. Go back to caveman football, and run the **** thing 30-40 times. We have a stable of good backs. Use them! Put up 200 plus yard rushing and we keep their QB on the sidelines. That's what we built this OL for.

Running ball lowers possessions, you have to be perfect and our defense doesnt play well enough for that.. That actually helps the othr team keeping the score close if we have to kick a couple of fgs. Their offense is better than FSU.

No one can keep up with our 50+ plus offense, if we dont turn it to track meet, we will be in dog fight.

We are gonna do what we do every week and figure out what the defense is willing to give us and exploit the **** out of it

There was a couple of drives against Duke I thought we should have run it a bit more but at this point if putting our chances on Cam Wards arm is the choice, well let’s ride

We don’t need full caveman. Saturday we ran on 8 of the first 22 plays in the first 3 drives and were up 14-0. The next 2 drives we ran 1 out of the next 6 plays and all of a sudden we’re tied at 14

First 8 runs were
5, 16, 8, -1, 1, 11, 10, -1

The last run in that series was 1 and goal from the 3.

I love slinging it around but we were pretty much having our way and went ham. On our 2nd 3 and out it was 3rd and 3 and we ended up throwing if 50 yards downfield out of bounds.

What were Duke’s numbers?

Anyone making comments about GT giving us a game and worried by their O against us is completely justified.

Duke a better passing team, GT a better running team, both pretty close in scoring. We beat Duke by 22. I stand by what I typed. Every week we read the same ****. "This team has me worried", "This QB is the best we'll see", "Best offense we will face all year". All I see is blah blah blah.

Don't worry. We'll beat GT and then folks will start talking about how Wake's mesh concept will be difficult to stop

Some of the GT fans on X aren't so confident he'll be back. I'd expect their coach to keep that info close to the vest either way as a little gamesmanship. I've heard the injury is right shoulder related so even if he does play you'd think he might not be as crisp and could even be a little more hesitant to run. I'd love to see one of our DEs or LBs come up and pop him real good early on and rattle him a bit
 
GT is in a bit of a bind. They need 1 win to become bowl eligible. By far their best opportunity is against NC State. If they can hold out King a little bit longer, he might be in that much better shape, and they can really compete in that game.

If they play him earlier, he may aggravate the injury and then they've blown their chance in that game.

It's a serious game theory question.

He got 30% of his ten passing touchdowns and 275 out of his 1500 passing yards against VMI. His risk he has 8 rushing TDs. Against UNC, he was 11/22 passing for 127 yards and no TDs. Rushed for 107 yards and 2 TDs. He seems to be the VT QB without the arm.
