Ga Tech Matchup

I think this is the week our TEs and RBs put up big receiving numbers.

Also our Special teams may finally get a TD of some sort. The Jackets have had major issues on Special teams all season long.

I actually think our defense gets better this week assuming we trot out the lineup we did after Richards went down

Just noticed that GT is near the bottom of the nation in sacks. I have not watched one game all year, but that seems to indicate they do not get pressure on the QB. Can anyone confirm that? If so, look for Cam to throw up another 400 yards and 3+ TD's.

This is the most complete QB we will have seen to date, who will be hard to get off the field on 3rd down with his ability to scramble on 3rd down. He js the most accurate and efficient and does not turn ball over- and our DBs are FAU quality. If Haynes King is healthy , with 2 weeks to prepare- yes i think they will hang 40 on us. So our offense has to be mistake free and not waste possessions. It will come down to who’s defense forces the most punts, Expecting another close score for score game like Louisville. But this kid will frustrate us with his legs, as we see how #1 tackles in open field.
Every week they write, "this is the most complete QB Miami has seen..."

Give yer balls a tug.

As of right now it seems like it is going to be wet and rainy going into the last days of the week and on Saturday.

Will be interesting to see how that factors in along with the wet -bulb.

The weather could be rainy depending on this tropical system that is brewing and where it goes from the gulf area.

This game scares me. Ga Tech has a great coaching staff with 2 weeks to prepare coming off a bye week. Haynes King is going to play as the coach continues to be so “vague” that it seems obvious hes playing. King is a problem for us, as hes mobile, and accurate at 72% and only one INT. This kid will pick us apart with 2 weeks preparing for us. Miami needs to be comfortable having a target- and getting every teams “super bowl” effort since they have nothing to lose, and search for a season defining win. They will have trick plays, go for it on 4th down, take risks usually teams will not. But giving that staff 2 weeks to target our obvious holes, plus the low spread, should SCARE us all. The coaches, and the QB are going to give us a very difficult game. I would even take the 12.5 points if I were betting on this. I will be happy to get out of this game with a win. I sure hope this team is dialed in, as the other team will play their best game of the season.
I bet you're nervous that Wake Forest gets an extra day to prepare for us as well.

There’s so many posters waiting to hit “post thread” on their “I told you so…” posts it’s wild

As if after 9 weeks everyone isn’t well aware of what’s up

At the end of the day we're all Miami fans and want to win every week. I take no enjoyment and post "Told you so" threads. However, we're playing with fire with this defense if our offense has a off game. I don't see an issue pointing out some concerns with that.

Expecting an extremely close game. Their shifty fast skill guys will give us fits and King is an above avg QB IMO. I expect them to score 35+ and to have a good plan on defense. Win the TO battle, and we’ll be fine.
Yeah in all honesty if King plays this is our toughest game so far this year. I watched their game with Louisville and the score was weird, GT outplayed them I thought the score not indicative of the game at all. Ville had a blocked FG for a TD near the end of the game that made it look more lopsided. IIRC GT was trying to kick it to put themselves in a spot where another FG would win the game but it got blocked

Don't you start...

Cam is going to have to be patient in this one. I expect to see alot of dropping 8 into coverage especially on 3rd downs. Cam has to start looking to run more and pickup the easy 4 or 5 yards instead running around back there looking to make a play downfield all day. Teams are looking for that now and treating him like he's a statue like Peyton Manning. He has to be more a threat to run because he's definitely capable of it.
