At the beginning of the year we would all love the 9-1,10-2.as the year progressed you change your perspective as you see the team play and win and your thoughts go from saying 9-3 is great improvement in the journey to how disappointing as we had it before us, controlling our own destiny. It’s somewhat of a failure even though it’s not. I we would have lost early and continued to win but we may be fading near the end when we shouldn’t.

I didn’t know who Cam Ward was and I picked us to go 8-4. So, I’m enjoying the ride, *****ing and moaning the entire way, like any self respecting Cane fan/alum. I mean, i’ve always been a defensive minded guy, so this team makes me pull my remaining hair out. But, pleasantly with some help late last night, the Canes control their own destiny. That’s a good thing at this stage of the season.

There's a much better chance of making it if we finish the season 11-1 and don't make the ACCCG.

On the bright side if all these SEC slurpers are talking about “ranked at the time” wins then GT now has 2 wins against top 10 opponents for the year. Which could translate them into a quality loss right ?

Curious to see if their tone stays the same about those types of wins or not. Would be really nice for Duke & Louisville to win out for SOS. I think Louisville does

I keep reading all these posts about getting into the Playoffs.

Do you really want to match up with the calibre of teams that reach the Playoffs?

I've been hoping against hope that Guidry figures something out with this D, but if anything they're getting worse. I don't want to see us getting dog walked on a national stage.

If we win the ACCCG I'll be elated and we'll deserve the spot in the Playoffs. I don't want to backdoor our way in if we lose that game though - I'll take a nice quiet Bowl Game and quietly shelve this season as progress, but must do better in 2025.

I’m not sure, how much the CFPC will punish a 11-1 regular season with a ACCCG loss it would mean putting in multiple 2 to 3 loss SEC teams that didn’t even play in a conference championship. It could happen, but I also think they could get in if they lose close.

Still lots of chaos to possibly happen but on Tuesday I am willing to bet Bama, Ole Miss will have jumped us and Georgia likely still above us.

Yall keep over looking this .. so the loss did not hurt our chance to get to the ACC championship game …. BUT if we lose in that game we are now a 2 loss team and may be kept out of the playoffs !! That’s why it was important to be undefeated to give us some playoff insurance no matter what happened in the ACC championship game.

They have come out and said a conf championship game loser won’t be punished for the loss when comparing to a team that didn’t get into their championship game. We’ll obv see if that holds true, but that is what they have said.

The loss means almost nothing after Pitt gagged vs the least likely team to beat them on their remaining schedule.
We needed to win to outpace Pitt, we lost then they lost.
It sucked and the doomsdayers will run amok about how we suck etc…for the next two weeks, but shockingly the sun rose agin today.

And never forget two of our most hated rivals gave up 100pts between them.

It means a ton because if you don’t lose you have a shot of losing the ACC title game and still making it m

Now I doubt a 2 loss ACC title game loser makes it when they are likely heading into that game and the lower end of the top 12. Less margin for error and less chance for two bids for ACC now

And honestly I don’t think our defense will stop my dog from getting lunch let alone SMU offense, so if cam and offense can’t carry their *** and ouyscore them we won’t make it as a 2 loss team imo

This. If we manage to win the next two, and can’t beat SMU in what would be our biggest game in fifteen years or so (arguably a lot at stake in 17 v Clemson but we never stood a chance), then what’s the point of going on the road to get smashed in a playoff game?

Outside of OJ (who’s a true freshman) nobody is playing well right now. Pickett says he’s locked in on LSU although after their effort last night that might change.

I 100% expected a playoff appearance. Top 12 teams in Mario's 3rd year with back to back top 10 recruiting classes and the #1 QB and #1 RB in the portal?

I hear ya. But Georgia Tech pass D was one of the worst in the country too. We scored 23 points. Teams will play their best ball against Miami. You have to be prepared. Do you trust Guidry and Cristobal to adjust? I'm not sure...

It’s ironic that while I hated Lispy (particularly as the HC) I would take his defenses over this train wreck any day of the week. This team needs a smart DC who’s a strict disciplinarian that holds no punches and will bench you in a second if you f*ck up.
