FSU Slurping

What do you guys think the line will be for the UM-FSU game?

Assuming both teams win and stay healthy

Miami +10.5
I agree. It could be a little higher. We are getting no respect from the media, and they push public perception. I don't know how gamblers feel about though.

Vegas is smart and don't give 2 s.hits about the media.

That's not accurate. Vegas wants money coming in on both sides so if the public is hammering one side because of the media slurping then they will adjust accordingly.

1. Stop shuffling the oline - just pick a 5 and go with it
2. Run the god**** football and then playaction off of that - Morris loves the deep ball and can only make 1-2 progressions at the most, so reduce his options and bring the D up
3. Play aggressive on D - win big or lose big, but don't let Winston sit back there and go through his progressions
4. Play our best pass rushers - FSU is playing spread personnel most of the time, we shouldn't counter that with Shayon Green (though he's playing a lot better)

The nation thinking Clemson was so good is going to **** up FSUs head. An offense with Ellington, Watkins and Hopkins was tough to stop despite a joke of a defense. This year their defense is pathetic to go with a slightly above average offense. I think we'll see Clemson drop a couple more games before the end of the season.

Go watch the Boston College game if you want to see Florida state vulnerable physically and mentally. They thought they didn't have to play the game.

If we come out against Wake throwing out some more power running schemes and Morris looks healthier and more in synch with his receivers (remember Morris wasn't practicing as much as usual since the ankle) I'm going to feel pretty good about 11/2

I'm pretty sure FSU won't be looking ahead of their biggest rivalry game of the season...

They adjust based on betting patterns and not the media.

And the media can affect the betting patterns of the general public...

FSU is the best team that I have seen this year, better than Bama, better than Oregon.

The fact that they were looking ahead tells me everything I need to know.

Winston will find the open receiver, he's king of the nickel and dime you to death high percentage pass. The key is wrapping up and not letting a 6 yd. pass turn into a 60 yd. touchdown. We've got to be physical on defense, and play keep away from Aunt Jemima on offense. Pound the rock and keep the clock moving at all cost.

This

This is what kills me about Morris dude cant hit short passes and dude has a cyborg arm that **** gets me frustrated az ****.

This is true but lets hope they lose if not they riding on easy street to a title unless we trip them up on the rematch. They have been the most impressive but what Bama does on O is what kills teams that want to spread it around...... ball control.

FSU is the best team I have seen over the past 25 years. No joke. Literally, no weaknesses. Winston is the best QB in the history of college football.

Exactly. Winston and FSU will get their yards and their first downs. As you said, key is to keep them from becoming big plays. Along those lines, don't give them any extra opportunities via turnovers and stupid drive-extending penalties. We can win the game, but we have to play a very clean, smart game to do it.

Where Morris goes for the big plays, Winston seems content to take what the defense gives him. Morris' arm is better, but Winston seems patient and makes good decisions. I didn't see him pressured that much in the Clemson game, but when he was he handled it well, so the defense is going to have to step up. He'll nickel and dime the defense all the way down the field. He's not the type to wait for him to make a mistake, because he hasn't been making them. This is the game that will show some coaching and scheming by D'Onofrio and Golden. If they don't come up with something different, they'll be playing on Miami's side of the field all game long.

From an offensive standpoint, Morris needs to get his footwork straight and start making higher percentage throws. This is a huge stage for him to show what he can do at the next level.

...and it's frustrating that a redshirt freshman understand the need to take what's given and allow the play makers to do their things, while the senior QB seems to have regressed on that issue.

5. Use the tight ends and the middle of the field in the passing game.
