FSU Names their Booster AD 😅

Wait…they were using Leon county funds while we catch $#!t for reappropriating private medical profits? WTF?!
They were trying to. In their defense the city/county has done the same thing for TCC and FAMU. But this time people complained. The money is to bring Doak up to code apparently.

Coach Ham is actually going to the capital to talk about it.

They honestly think that (1) Norvell is impressive with, despite losing 7 games including Jacksonville State and (2) this isn't a terrible hire

Yes. Yes they do.

And they also got Florida taxpayer money to renovate when they slapped bricks on the Ol' Erector Set about 20 years ago.

I mean, yeah, I think the taxpayers should take it back and sell it for parts...
Erector set is laughingly accurate.. good call.

I'm still pretty confused as to how their athletic department actually works with their whole "Boosters" thing.

I'm actually pretty sad about this. College football was so good when UM and FSU were relevant at the same time. Those matchups in the 80's, 90's and into the early 2000's were legendary. Sad to see how far they (and we) have fallen. At least we are digging ourselves out.

It use to be separate for a long time but now the boosters work for the Athletic department. They had to pull a bunch of funds just to get taggart fired.

So if the county taxpayers were slated to fund $20m of it, how much is needed total? Doesn't seem like a yuge figbure, but rather part of a larger project.

The $20M request is to make Broke Shambles ADA compliant, so they say...it's gonna cost $27M when you add in the interest. What I don't get is, as big as their alumni base is, they can't scrape up the $20M?

I'm not too sad, I want them to burn. I suffered through their win streak and hated every bit of it
