I hate them but they are committed to winning: from their boosters to the president to the Deans of academic programs to local bars and cops. The entire system is there to support, protect and promote a winning football program.

Any obstacles or friction to the pursuit of that goal are avoided or removed.

The talent gap between the likes of FSU/Clemson and Miami is gigantic and continues to grow.

We are gonna have to outcoach them to win....our chances of doing that are now much better with Richt.

I would agree but we took them to the 4th qtr that last 2 years with a total corch. Can the talent gap be that drastic?

The gap hasn't looked too large the last two times we've played them. And our guys look just as good in the pros.

Let's see how we look with competent coaching and a defense.

It's common in rivalry games for the less-talented team to play up to the level of the more talented team. The issue isn't the top 5 or 6 kids on the roster each year who go on to the NFL from each team...we've had some very talented players... the issue is the depth and role players.

Like someone said, we need to stack talent. Can't be top heavy

That's my opinion anyway, maybe I should try to have a more positive outlook in the face of some bad odds.

Their OL class this year is insane. #1 Center, #5 and #1 1 OT, and two top Guards. That is how you address a weakness on your roster folks. **** I hate the Semenholes.

This, my dude, is called stacking chips, and nobody is better at it than Jimbo, as much as I hate it.

It's hard to argue right now, that's some serious talent on that OL/DL. To follow up Josh Sweat with Burns and robinson and then to flip Manuel from florida is big.

You need the right players, not just the star players. What happened to UM in the mid 90's where we got top 5 classes full of soft players that didn't want to work hard

You do realizes that clemson and miami have the same average recruting class ranking over the last 4 years? The only gap is the one the fans create. With the right coaches we have 1st Rd nfl QB, WR, 2 DEs and few draftable lineman.

Clemson signs as many top 50 players as bama, fsu, osu, etc.

And They don't have Derrick Griffins bumping up their rankings either.

They also sign smaller classes than those schools too,only 20 kids this year....So their class ranking is a bit deceptive.

4th quarter is when difference in depth kills us. I think we win the Coastal next year, but we won't be back winning the big dance like we should until we are loaded with quality. I do prefer this class of 17 players of which only one or two can be arguably called a reach to a class of 28 with eleven guys who likely won't make a difference in anything but our recruiting ranking. We have the room now and a tempting depth chart to dangle. Richt needs to kill it on the field and on the trail next year.

He has won the ACC 3 times in five(six?) years. Including the year before Winston.

Has won the division 4 out of 6 years (only 2 with winston) and I think he has the best active coach winning percentage or **** close to it.

How many times ITT have people mentioned moral victories of playing FSU close? I think i lost count at 20....WGAF?? Bottom line is the streak is 6 in a row and the gap is noticeable.
