fsu encouraged shavar to "play the game" according to espn

Lol, f_ck the gators, I respect Fsu a lot more than them since they ain't scared to play us

One of the biggest myths among many Cane fans is this unearned respect some of them have for fsu because they "kept us" on their schedule, as if they had some brotherly love for UM.
Truth is they kept us on their schedule and got us into the ACC for recruiting reasons.....wanting us around them so they can poach our backyard is nothing that any self-respecting Cane should admire...they are scumbags, even to a larger degree than the folks in Gaynesville.

Here, here. They are, and have been as limy or slimier than the Gators. Good ol' Bobby would let his star players commit murder if it would help him win. The Noles have been doing this crap for years.

I hope the FSU assistant coach gets fired and his next employer "plays the game" with him. Karma's a bytch.

It's great to watch a low character "coach" show a low character kid how to act in a low character fashion.

Huh? This **** goes on all the time and it has been going on for eons in recruiting. Nothing to see here - business as usual in college athletics. It's just like the Michigan former AD that came out and publicly stated that rashaun Gary was receiving "incentives" from other schools during his recruitment and the monocole wearing reporters/administrators are aghast at the revelation. Meanwhile, down south....

gators are always far worse in eyes of any long time Canes fans and its not even close.

UF should file a lawsuit against FSU for the loss of $ from the point in which this began... More importantly, it will stop the practice and give the NCAA something to stand on.

Not only that, UF may have backed off of other recruits because manual told them he was going to sign with them.

At least we avoided getting played by Shaver. Good call by the staff to turn down his request for a visit.

This...

NCAA has to put In a early signing period. **** is ridiculous

Strongly disagree....Early signing period is good for programs that have to rely on other talent-laden states for recruiting.

So much talent in Florida, and some don't develop into studs until their senior year..... So it is to UM's benefit not to have these kids snapped up by other programs.

Careful what you ask for.

Not sure I agree with this sentiment.

An early signing period means teams would have to be more careful with their offers, since it would be "commit-able" earlier. If you really want a kid, and he claims to really want you, but won't sign early ... That's an indication of where his loyalties are. And having a 2nd signing day allows for teams to be able to replace kids they thought they were getting.

It also protects kids ... Allows them to protect their spot in a class by signing early.

Adding an early signing day doesn't mean kids HAVE to sign early. But with the media attention and games being played, it would be good for programs and kids to have another window of time to make a life-altering decision, IMO.

Jimbo's got a staff of recruiters. Let's see how they do on the field. I don't think half those guys can coach....Dawsey? Brewster? Don't think those guys can coach at all, but they sure are good at telling teenagers what they want to hear. In particular Brewster is some kind of master manipulator, guy is a ******* machine recruiting wise.

Fck that facqit Lil' Shaver. And fck UF too. I hope Manuel busts and winds up face down in a gutter getting ****ed on by bums with better stuff than he has.

Taylor Jacobs is laughing as he pulls his dyck out of Jizzbo's wife's a$$ and paints her face with it to make her look like a haggard Jon Randle.

They do it in college b ball, no reason not to in CFB. It's creating unnecessary soap-opera drama. Sure it's big money for 247, Rivals, and of course E$ECPN, but it's teaching these young men poor values....and it translates both on and off the field.

FSU has been doing that game for a long time.
If a player is a strong lean to FSU and suddenly wants to commit to your team be suspicious.

R.Buchannon is the only only one I can recall that did it for us...but that was to take the local pressure off him not try to mess with their class.

I think Greg Dent did this to us back in like 08 or so...

Low character move....how can we get mad when 17 and 18 year Olds do this if the very coaches that should be helping mold them are doing the same.

F*ck FSU and UF

Reminds me of Byrd and Williams last minuet bs. Not a fan of a coward tactic in order to hurt somebody because your scared to play them at full potential .

Can you imagine willingly going to work for someone who asks you to do something unethical and petty?

I don't care how the game is played, the whole thing is terrible in my view.
