FSU downgraded big time

Really? Saban coaches the dbs, not Pruitt. But you can think FSU has improved with this move of you want...

Stoops is one of the better DC's in the country, and came to FSU with years of experience as a DC.

Pruitt coached a secondary for 3 years and has zero experience calling plays.

It's definitely, without a doubt, a downgrade from Stoops. It could work out, but evaluate it right now, and yes it's a downgrade.

I can see both sides of this argument....part of the reason for the hire is probably to be able to recruit the panhandle region.

seriously? FSU/Bama already has the panhandle on lock... and NWFL isnt necessarily a hotbed for big time talent. We always have a few good kids every year, but the ones who are good enough always go to FSU, Troy, or Bama anyway.

Also what schemes does he run? He doesn't have any experience outside of Bama so you could expect thats the system he would implement. As an outsider looking in this looks like a disaster in the making. Other than being a very good recruiter there isn't anything on his resume that shows he should get a job like the FSU DC spot.

Jimbo wants a staff full of elite recruiters to compensate for his lack of coaching ability. It will be a push every year and they will never win more than 10 regular season games.

agreed 100% and think its a down grade as well since they run a 3-4 at bama and for other multiple reasons. its always a good thing when my nole friends text me in panic mode.

explain how someone off the bama staff is a downgrade.........

Man you're an FSU fan if I've ever seen one. Just come out the closet already

We all already know you're a @%#&$*@(@ Nole

Good question. Is he going to run a 3-4 for the Seminoles? If yes, it's going to be a difficult transition for any program. It can be done, but you better be a boss of a coach.

And it's no secret that Saban is very hands on coaching his own DBs.
