FSU Defense

I don't remember a ranked team beating another ranked team 63-0.

They're for real.

2001 Miami Hurricanes beat 13th ranked Syracuse 59-0. That was one of the most dominating games i ever saw.

I remember that one. We went on to have a pretty **** good team.

And that's what I'm saying. Even if the ranked team on the receiving end of the beating went on to finish unranked, I can't remember such a lopsided beatdown between two ranked teams.

They better bring it. We are going to RAPE them in tally. :stormwarning:
FWIW If the road team as an underdog in the series ATS DOMINATES! SU & ATS Go Canes

Not to threadjack but Clemson's secondary is even more suspect. I was surprised how little speed they have. Could be a **** of a scoreboard if we play them.

Winston is going to light them up IMO.

While they may not be as good as last year you're all joking yourselves by calling them suspect or not good. And don't discount Jalen Ramsey I wanted that kid badly. He is the real deal.

Lets be serious. FSU has a good defense. Top 5? Perhaps not this year but they are definitely an elite defense and have a lot talent.

LULZ at fsu being an "elite" defense. Far from it. They weren't elite last year, and they're nowhere near as good this year. Sorry *** BC lit them up.

We're going to see what Jemima is all about when they play Clemson. If he goes out there and looks as cool and efficient as he's looked against the bums they've played, then he's for real. It's going to be interesting.

One thing Clemson does well defensively is get to the passer, and Jemima seems like a baby when things don't go well for him. He's always pouting and pointing fingers. If Clemson gets some heat on him and busts him in the jaw a few times I want to see how he reacts.

U guys are tripping. Clemson beat LSU to finish the year and UGA to start. They are tested. They will give FSU a gut check. They can get after the QB and has athletes to match up and offense to put up points. They're at home at night. No way they lose to FSU imo. I'm thinking we face them undefeated in thechampionship game be great if both undefeated.

Maryland isnt any competition.... Miami would beat them 50-17 only b/c Al Golden would call the dawgs off in the 4th quarter and let Maryland score 2 TDs at the last minute.

FSU's defense is suspect..... in the sense that they are vulnerable not b/c of lack of talent but b/c their scheme doesnt produce an effective pass rush consistenly enough. Their scheme plays right into Miami's hand b/c our O-lineman wont have to worry about a athletic Brandon Jenkins, Bjoern Werner, or Tank Carradine, beating them around the edge.

Stephen Morris should be comfortable in the pocket against FSU unless they decide to blitz and once they do that, it leaves their defense even more open to get beat.... also it's going to be easier to run block against them, so i expect Duke Johnson and co. to have a much better game running then we did against FLorida.

Jalen Ramsey is a stud but he's not better then Deon Bush or Rayshawn Jenkins at safety.... and their cornerbacks are good but i'll take our receivers in that match up any day of the week.

The game is going to come down to who can execute.... Stephen Morris is going to have a lot more time to throw then Jameis Winston is that's the 1 main thing that Miami has as an advantage imo.

Also on defense Miami knows how to tackle, FSU has struggled making open field tackles but, Denzel Perryman and co bring you down on 1st contact.... so i dont think their running game is going to carve us up either.

I agree.... I got Clemson beating FSU. Tahj Boyd is proven against top 10 teams, Jameis Winston is good but he hasnt proven **** yet. and it's in Death Valley Gtfoh, my money on Clemson.

Everybody keeps saying they want FSU undefeated against Miami, so what, i dont give a **** about being on Prime Time, i just want to win.

Clemson beats FSU, Miami beats FSU, then two undefeated teams play each other in the ACCCG.... I personally would rather that scenario play out b/c i dont want to play FSU twice and it would be fun to play Clemson for once.

Two undefeated teams in the ACCCG would be BIG TIME b/c that game is going to decide who plays in the LAST BCS national championship.

They're for real.

Didn't we beat FSU when they were #1 and we were #2 like 37-0. Think that was the only game FSU lost that year.
We also destroyed Tejas in the Cotton Bowl.

I watched that FSU/Maryland game and it was similar to our game against ND last year, meaning everything that could go wrong did for Maryland. Just a boulder rolling down a mountain. One team played well and the other team, well didn't.
Don't know if Maryland is for real or not, but I do know that if they played FSU 100 times you would never see that score more than once.

Is Maryland one of the top 25 teams in the country.
No, they are not. They weren't before the FSU game either, except on paper.
FSU is an erratic team this year.
Going to be interesting to see what happens when they are tested by a team that is just as fast and just as, or more talented.

We match up very well on both sides of the ball with FSU. So does Clemson.

Going to come down to discipline, on field leadership and coaching, and I believe we have the edge in all 3 aspects.

1988 FSU was preseason #1. We weren't #2, we were #6. We beat them 31-0. That same year we were #3 and we beat #11 LSU 44-3 in Baton Rouge. In 1987 we were #5 and we went to Little Rock and beat #10 Arkansas 51-7. In the 1991 Cotton Bowl, we were #4 and Texas was #3 and we beat them 46-3.

All of those teams were legit, not the fake *** #25 Maryland was.

James Coley was on that staff last year. I bet he know a thing or two about whats coming. I'm not saying I'm just saying.

Yeah I think Miami's pass defense is for real. Should be a great game.

Then followed it up to beat a ranked Washington team something like 62-7!

The blueprint is to get to their QB, sack him often and we win. Don't do that and it will be a long day.

Is absolutely suspect. Especially the secondary. Clemson is going to abuse them through the air and I think we can too. They have a pretty good front 7 but a good passing attack could really exploit this defense. I wish we could have caught fsu before Clemson did because they are going to blueprint how to beat that football team.

Just to be clear I think Clemson can absolutely beat them I just think it will take a shootout, which Clemson is plenty capable of.

As the wise Chise mentioned, Winston will feel some heat. He's done pretty well under pressure when I've seen him but its going to be a big game for him.

I might take some Pepto Bismol and watch this one from start to finish.
