Is absolutely suspect. Especially the secondary. Clemson is going to abuse them through the air and I think we can too. They have a pretty good front 7 but a good passing attack could really exploit this defense. I wish we could have caught fsu before Clemson did because they are going to blueprint how to beat that football team.

Jimbo continues to show he is learning on the job and has no clue what he want the identity of the program to be. How the **** you going to bring in Stoops and recruit heavy for a 4-3 and then up and decide you're going to change defensive philosophy all together and implement the 3-4? I'm loving that they don't have the personnel to run their defense the way they want to this year.
 
Tyler Hunter out for the year puts their starting CB (freshmen) Ramsey at starting safety. Burnt toast.
 
I don't remember a ranked team beating another ranked team 63-0.

They're for real.
 
They are for real in the passing game on offense. The D has not yet been challenged. Chase Rettig threw a party on they pussies.

Lets be serious. FSU has a good defense. Top 5? Perhaps not this year but they are definitely an elite defense and have a lot talent.
 
Maryland is a crap team with wins over Old Dominion,FIU,U Conn and WV who just had 70 laid on them by Baylor. Look at the rankings today and i see Maryland no where in the top 25. Just because idiots say they are top 25 means nothing as we just witnessed.

They have only 4 pass catching options. Shaw, Benj, Green and O'Leary
They MUST stay healthy to be dangerous in the air.
If they lose one or more of those guys before they play us... not as deadly.
 
Shaw is emerging but I think Rashad Greene is one of the best WR in the country. They can really throw the ball well.

All 4 are Sunday kids. Green is a first rounder. IMO he is a star in the NFL.
However, they have ZERO depth due to preseason injures.
 
FSU's defense is not good.

They don't have the personnel to run it with the effectiveness they want to yet.

BC put up how many puts on their "good" defense? We'll put up points on them just like Clemson will.

Didn't we beat FSU when they were #1 and we were #2 like 37-0. Think that was the only game FSU lost that year.
We also destroyed Tejas in the Cotton Bowl.

I watched that FSU/Maryland game and it was similar to our game against ND last year, meaning everything that could go wrong did for Maryland. Just a boulder rolling down a mountain. One team played well and the other team, well didn't.
Don't know if Maryland is for real or not, but I do know that if they played FSU 100 times you would never see that score more than once.

Is Maryland one of the top 25 teams in the country.
No, they are not. They weren't before the FSU game either, except on paper.
FSU is an erratic team this year.
Going to be interesting to see what happens when they are tested by a team that is just as fast and just as, or more talented.

We match up very well on both sides of the ball with FSU. So does Clemson.

Going to come down to discipline, on field leadership and coaching, and I believe we have the edge in all 3 aspects.
 
Florida State is going to maul Clem's son. I'd say something like 52-30


And then Florida State is going to play a real defense, namely Miami, and get beat in a 21-16 type fashion.

You guys are forgetting that our D hasn't faced a QB worth a ****. Jeff Driskel is the best QB we faced let that sink in.

Clemson D is pretty good and they have 1-2 more sacks than we do. We will see how good they are after Clemson game obviously.
 
I also think FSU will beat Clemson in a shootout. We'll be the best defense they've faced by far.

Tyler Hunter going down isn't small potatoes.
 
We let Driskel throw on us pretty effectively, especially for how bad he sucks. He was finding holes in zone coverage, which seems to be Winston's strength considering there's rarely a defender with in 8 yards of anyone he's throwing to.

I wonder if they'd give Gilbert a lot more burn in earlier downs to try and get pass rush on first and second down without having to blitz too much.

FSU has 2 weeks to prepare for Clemson. I think FSU is gonna win that game.

Our game against FSU will be tough. I won't short change those ***s until I see them against Clemson to see how good they really are.
