Perry might be more accurate and more dynamic than Rosier, but he appears in the doghouse. Weldon's ability is uncertain. Williams received accolades during the spring, but lacks experience. But, how do you gain experience if coach does not play you? I would start one of the backups next week, preferably Perry if his disciplinary problem is resolved. If Weldon or Williams is the most accurate, I would accept one of them starting. The season is not lost. A relatively easy schedule can still put UM in the ACC Championship game, and with a season of experience for one of the backups, the team might even surprise Clemson.
The OL was not as dismal as many feared it would be. The OL wasn't dominant, but there were occasions when Rosier had time to make accurate passes and he failed. Everyone saw these flaws at the end of last year. He fails to make the right read or misses open receivers. The first flaw might be correctable, but an off-season of preparation does not seem to have improved his reads. As for the second flaw, many football people say that you can't teach accuracy; you either have it or you don't.
I know it is a QB thread, but can someone please replace Feagles?
