This clown is killing us. He really believes he is doing his job, and this disaster of a defense is solely the fault of the players. I think overall, that Golden is a smart dude, but he is blinded by his love for Donofrio. He will never fire that bum.

D'Onofrio said there won't be any schematic changes on defense.

"You call 70-something plays in a game, it's hard to be right (all the time)," he said. "The thing people don't understand is generally when someone is running free is because you're in man-to-man and somebody doesn't have him. We played a lot of man, gave up two big third downs in man because we cut somebody loose.

"There's this misconception we don't play man coverage; we play it a lot, have been playing it all year. ... We mix it up."

He has reached GOAT CORCH status....I need a job on this staff..I can fug up all day and hold others accountable. That and the fact I will get paid 6 figure salary. Where do I sign up!!!

I can't even tell you who Duke's QB is, but I guarantee he gets in the Heisman race after this week

I can't wait to see Duke guys catching the ball underneath with no D players around them for 20 yards.

Again.

Bro, you just made the original upright walker look like Joe Montana.

Response?

"You can't be right all the time"

You can't be right all the time, but **** dude has been wrong most of the time.

Cutcliff has to be at full arousal looking at our tape and thinking of ways to *** rape our defense.

Ok......but why hasn't it improved in three years?
Why do other teams that face the same offenses we face have so much more success against them that we do?
I would like to hear him answer that.

Yes, Miami played a lot of man on Saturday. Yes, Miami blitzed more than it usually does. The bottom line is Miami is getting murdered with underneath crossing routes and intermediate routes. Miami is also giving up way too many rushing yards.

They finally had to bench Boone in the middle of their last game against NCSU because he had thrown 7 picks in the last 6 quarters of football. Then went to Conette (sp?), who is a power runner with no ability to throw. He looks like a LB playing QB. In other words, Boone or Conette will light us up like a Christmas tree.

You gotta be ****ING kidding me.

Sounded kind of like Morris's "You win some you lose him" quip in between bites of his Snickers bar after the game. Wonder where the players are getting their casual approach to failure.

Remember when Golden said that D'Onofrio was the best defensive coordinator in the nation when he got here? I can't get that out of my head

Yeah man, IIRC it was something to the effect of "he's the best defensive mind I've ever been around/known"
