Best post in a while.

Hope Latwan and Grooms can keep progressing. Pimp needs to be playing football somewhere.

Just some observations from my seat...

*Who woulda thunk Cannon Smith would end up a defensive back? A starting, and productive (Top 5 tackler on Memphis) one at the FBS level at that lolololol

*I would not be shocked if Travis Williams and Jermaine Barton are two players that sneak up on us and end up getting a shot in the pros. NFL likes immediate, long-time, productive starters at the FCS level. Those guys get shots. Williams just needs to add some size (around 220 right now). Barton is big and athletic with long arms, just needs to get stronger. There are a few good articles out there with the Youngstown staff praising Barton a lot.

*I really really want to see Antonio Kinard get back in there. The Clearinghouse ****ed that kid over TWICE. Once, with Michigan. Then, after a stint in prep. They basically left the kid hanging. I do believe he was on campus at UM when the clearinghouse held him up. They didn't get back to him for months. He started just working with his dad. Took so long he had to enroll at a JUCO. Really want to see him get to the dance.

So, we got 2 guys living with the Missing Link in Parts Unknown? Is it a 6 man tag team?

I want Latwan Anderson back

There are a few guys I'd "want back" more than Latwan.

Storm Johnson would have been VITAL to this year's running game. The aforementioned Travis Williams and Jermaine Barton I think could have eventually played here a little bit. And, obviously, Kevin Grooms.

Jamal Reid. I was so sure he was gonna be a stud. Wrongest I've been on a player in a long time. Still can't figure out what happened

Me too. Ended up being too slow for a guy who was skinny and not very physical.

How does a kid who is otherwise pretty skinny end up being misevaluated from a speed perspective? I mean, that is the #1 thing you would think you look at with kids like this. He was timing at camps in the 4.4's and was "scouted" (as loosely stated as possible) as having very strong speed. Very strange to see a guy show up, especially as highly rated as he was...he wasn't some outtathewoodwerks kid...and just straight up be too slow for anything.

Reid was a wide out at JU, FWIW.

I remember reading many interviews with him talking about learning the playbook. Kid just couldn't get it down I guess. Its a shame because he balled in the UA game his senior year. Also heard he spent too much time partying and not in his school work, playbook, film room, etc...
