For Those Who Haven't Seen - RE: henderson, dean, smith

The kid is a high schooler.

Why the **** would you not bring him in and rough him up, at least make an example out of kids who want to act like that. You really let him go to UF just because of that?

****ing weak.

Bring him in and process his ***. Don't let UF get their hands on him. This is the dumbest **** I've ever heard why the **** would Rumph do that? No wonder he sucks *** at recruiting.

So..according to you...we get this "high schooler"..not a young man..(as men act men and boys will be boys)..get him in the locker room to spread his poison. Then after he's tainted another student or 2..then we get rid of 2 or 3 of our guys?..is that about what you just said?..
I'm only asking as I'm trying to understand the logic here in your thinking

1) why the **** would any of our coaches chew out a kid 3 ******* days before NSD? Lock his bytch *** down, and fix his attitude during summer ball. You can red shirt the fûcking kid if he throws hizzy fits and doesn't want to be a team player. He will mature or transfer, but I doubt a kid who gets upset about not starting in a meaningless game would have been ok with sitting out another year. This is unacceptable if true.

2) hope DIVAnte Smith enjoyed prime 112, he won't be able to afford it once he's working at enterprise rent a car.

Amen to #1 .

You recruit a kid, in and out of camps for over a year, visit his home and family, and get to know his COACHES who would know all about his competitiveness....and then go silent on him because he allegedly throws a tantrum at a stupid all star event? Bull****.

If you can't work with that, maybe your in the wrong profession. This sadly sounds like some Shannon era type ****.

UM

Dudes like you don't get it. Sorry you just don't. Your say in this means nothing if you feel this way.

All that matter is the field. Mark disappointed last year. I want to see the wins on the field.

Why people down voted this statement is beyond me. I was very disappointed with the 4 game slide, he called poor games. Finally woke up and changed his game plans a bit. But waiting 4 games was way the **** too long IMO. He has to do better this year right out of the gates.

I personally watched Stacy Coley throw a tantrum mid-game on the sidelines at Northeast. Dude had to be physically restrained from going after a coach. He proceeded to storm off the field while throwing every bit of his equipment all over the place. Prior to that, I witnessed him standing at the safety position with his arms folded for multiple plays. Don't think I have ever witnessed a kid look more disinterested in playing a football game at the high school level. At the time, I recall coming away very unimpressed. But man has my opinion of him changed in 4 years.

Point being, these kids are teenagers and are going to have their "moments." Its up to the coaches at the next level to find those motivators and bring out the best in them.

There is a chance Henderson goes on to be a star. There is a chance he goes on to be a colossal bust. Either way, the only thing I have left to say about CJ Henderson, is **** you Gator faqqit.

Yall want a kid who quits on his team? How do yall know he wouldn't do that here? He wasnt going to start here from the start, im cool with the staff telling him off about it, if you commit to something go through with it no matter what

if sean taylor wanted to committ last minute u would let him......and he quit an all star game lets say.....would u take him or let him go to fsu?

bang ther

So you thibk CJ is a sean taylor type of talent???

No ones Sean Taylor I'm just using that as an example of a high caliber recruit....st was a four star just like cj. Bama wanted him also and u coach those guys up...all of a sudden no one here wants him or now we feel OK that he didn't come because of this story. I was never high on the kid but who knows about his character really....no one.

There are a lot of athletically gifted people like him that don't have the drive or desire so they never amount to anything. It would be like saying what if you had Jerry Rice but he didn't want to do his crazy workouts in the offseason and didn't want to practice. Well then he wouldn't of been the greatest WR ever, he would of been some bum who you don't remember and never heard of.

Yup, and there's no sense in explaining it.

Calling BS on all of this. Henderson was always going to UF because of his father's relationship with Shannon. Rumph was calling him out directly in his post-NSD presser when he bemoaned local parents not leading their kids to make the right decisions. Henderson probably wanted to be a Cane at certain points and he really didn't mention valid reasons for choosing UF. Kid will be begging to transfer in a year or two a la Cronkite when he's buried on the depth chart there.

I find it hard to fathom that a local kid like Dean would have been a silent to ASU.

Devonta was always going to Alabama even if they signed 10 receivers.

I don't know what's true or isn't true. But I do remember guys on here wondering where BJ was during the All Star game and why he wasn't playing. If it's true about him storming off, combined with him being a total cumrag during the entire process to the point where his own HS coach got sick of him, then he's not cut out to be a big time P5 player.

Clowns think there's some magic potion where a college coach can snap his fingers and say abracadabra and turn a pvssy into a pirate. Life don't work that way. You don't change 18 years of faqgification. That shyts ingrained in BJ's DNA by the time he's 18.

It's why you see coaches getting fired all the time. They put too much stock in athletic ability and not enough in character. Then those low character guys kill you as a coach.

There's a laundry list of incredibly talented guys we've all seen who have flamed out because of attitude. Good coaches read that and run. Dummies think they're going to change it.

You ain't changing a guy's entire personality. BJ was either born a gaped out pvssy or his parents and advisers turned him into one over the course of 18 years. And this ain't sour grapes from the Living Legend. I've been saying this kid is a shythead for a long time. If what Dee said is true then it's totally confirmed.

As for Dean, I guess he wasn't lying a couple weeks ago when he said he still wanted to go to Alabaga and that we were tied evenly in second with Utah and ASU. This Colbertson dude is one of my all-time favorite Canes, and he was only here for a year. If he wants to coach we should keep an eye on him because he's a star.

Smith must have really put a dagger in Dugans's heart. If some of the stuff I heard Dugans did to form a bond with him was true I don't blame Dugans for being sour.

Franchise = GOAT.

He had a great freshman year simply because he was faster than everyone else on the field. Don't know what the **** happened to him his sophomore year. Junior and Senior years got him back on track and he really started to develop as a complete WR. Looking back on his career as a Cane, I am glad he chose to come here and definitely consider his time here successful. I would have loved to see him have another year in this offense. Can we apply for a medical redshirt for that sophomore campaign? Something clearly wasn't right.

Totally over all of them.

Smith and McFarland both got paid, it is what it is. Don't go OOS for skill position guys, especially to SEC country in Smith's case.

Not sure how ASU and Miami were even a conversation for Dean, but whatever, glad he signed here. He was the most important CB recruit, IMO, we need a Colbert 2.0

Love Colbert. Dude is a Cane through and through

If this is true about henderson, then why did Rumph consult him post mortem about what he (Rumph) did wrong? If this were true, then a grown man wouldn't care what henderson had to say, would he?

ST wouldn't quit a ****in all-star game. That's what made him the legend of Sean ****ing Taylor! And that's what makes Henderson the child he is. Don't you see that DW? This kid didn't deserve to be a Cane. I'd be willing to bet you don't hear from him again.

Brian Moorman concurs with this post.

The Pete of the wez posted a very similar story before Brooklyn did. He added that Bandy called the coaches to tell them basically, that CJ was a crybaby with no skills at CB. This would explain how the coaches knew and their reactions. Bandy did try to calm CJ down and get him to stay but he threw such a hissy fit and left, Bandy was done with him.

crqzy part is people believe it its insane.......use common sense for crying out loud.
I can't speak for what happened at the USA game, however, the person who would update me on his commitment had mentionedto me if we would lose him it wouldn't be that big of a deal. He mentioned to me CJ's attitude this year was terrible and was out there not trying not really caring, so I can definitely see this situation happening.
My buddy is well connected to Columbus sports and has said the same thing all year about CJ's attitude and his work ethic while there. He loved everything about Bandy and said when watching the games you could clearly see that Bandy was at a different level, not so much with CJ. Now it may be that CJ knew he was going D1 and was just going thru the motions in order to not get hurt. It is what it is, time will tell if he is as elite as some of you think he is. IMO, this staff went all out for his services. If Rumph made that call, I myself don't have a problem with it as they kissed that went the extra mile. GO CANES

Don't know if this All-Star game stuff is true or not. But its very clear to me that Henderson was looking for any reason whatsoever to not come to Miami. Before this, we heard that it was that whole Homestead rumor situation that was turning him off to Miami - like that had anything to do with Miami or our coaches to begin with. So again, **** him. Have fun living in Gainesville for 4 years and going on your little Cr@cker Barrel dinner dates with Davis and Edwards you soft shouldered faqqits.
