Crime that Indiana ahead of BYU. Mormons beat SMU. Indiana beaten no one
Completely agree. Indiana is being propped up for being a feel good story.

These are the offenses Indiana has played.

Maryland - 70th (in scoring)
FIU - 94th
Nebraska - 100th (tied)
Washington - 100th (tied)
Charlotte - 114th
Michigan State - 121st
Northwestern - 123rd
UCLA - 126th
Western Illinios - they're a 3-6 FCS team

Upcoming opponents:
Michigan - 116th
Penn State - 59th
Purdue - 119th

For a point of reference, Ball State is 91st in scoring. That's higher than all but one offense Indiana has played.

What would our margin of victory and defensive rankings look like if we played Ball State's offense every week?

I like how there hasn't even been a discussion about 1 loss OSU and 1 loss UGA being ranked ahead of undefeated Miami. Not even mentioned it yet.

Losses don’t matter in those leagues. It’s been proven over and over. They only care about wins. Because UGA beat Texas in Austin, who cares they lost a game? Because Taint beat Pedo State in happy valley, who cares they lost a game? Losses don’t matter. They’re simply quality non-wins. The quality wins matter.

Maybe things shake out over the next few weeks and some SEC & B1G teams knock each other out, but just based on this initial ranking, it appears the business suits have a bigger influence than the "football" people. 1 loss teams over undefeated teams, 2 loss Alabama over 1 loss teams.

Just keep winning Miami. No margin for error.

Is it a forgone conclusion that the SEC & B10 champs are 1 & 2?

They literally called them "good losses" on the show.

"But the Associated Poll doesn't matter" ... yet the AP Poll top 12 was identical to CFBPlayoff rankings w/exception of Ohio State & Georgia at Nos. 2 & 3

Based on the ranking and projected seeding:

1st round
9 Indiana at 8 Tennessee
12 Boise St at 5 Ohio St
10 Notre Dame at 7 Penn St
11 Alabama at 6 Texas

Quarterfinals
1 Oregon vs. Indiana/Tennessee (Rose)
4 BYU vs. Ohio St/Boise St (Fiesta)
3 Miami vs. Texas/Alabama (Peach)
2 Georgia vs. Penn St/Notre Dame (Sugar)

Semifinals
Oregon/Indiana/Tennessee vs. BYU/Ohio St/Boise St
Miami/Texas/Bama vs. Georgia/PSU/ND
Oregon has the easier path to the final game
