For all of you coming down on the figs hit for not having proper form and all that, just remember, DP52 makes more hits of that nature than laying in and wrapping up. Just ask USF QB who probably is still injured from the hit that DP52 put on him WITHOUT wrapping up! The difference between DP52 and Figs, Ray Ray and Telmaque is DP52 knows when to lay a kill shot and when to wrap up for a sure tackle. I for one do not mind a laser shot every now and then to send a message. If that isn't his primary tackling technique, I'm not gonna cry over spilled milk. Sheesh!

DP made ONE hit like that, and it was on a QB who was heading toward the sideline. DP is probably our best pure tackler.

I agree, this tackle is overrated. Poor form. Poor results.

For the most part I agree, but it's still a raw freshman running with the 1's and knocking our best player flat. Ask the dudes from BC if Duke can take a hit and keep going forward.

"destroying" ? really? he got hit.. and Duke has taken decent amount of hits during his freshman season including one that get him tasting a little bit of blood.

I love Fig's tackling and his energy and I am very excited.... but dont' you EVER!!!!! talk like that about Duke I will hunt you down and "destroy" you!!!

You are wrong, period. He has made others like that too. I chop up and edit the Canes videos and trust me when I say that tackle he put on the QB isn't the only one like that he has done. However it proves my point that everyone still looks at him as a pure tackler with great technique. He has an ****nal of tackling techniques and its what makes him an all around beast. Simply seeing one player blow someone up in a hole and then label them as someone with bad technique is just ridiculous. It was one tackle.
