Impressive run by South Florida teams. Love that so many of our targets are making plays and winning championship games.

This is crazy...

Plant didn't even give themselves a chance. Their offense was prehistoric and their defense was misaligned all night. They had their Safeties 8/9 yards off of STA's slot WR's with no help underneath from the LB's, which if you think about it, essentially turns into Cover-0 with the Safeties basically play off-man. STA and their QB did a great job of exploiting that alignment and basically stole whatever they wanted all night. Plant's Linebackers were nonexistent in pass coverage. I mean, STA would've won regardless but Plant could've at least gave themselves a chance had they not been so prehistoric on both sides of the ball.
I don't get the hate for Jake Allen. He looked great to me. Made some good throws and knew where to go with the ball every play.

The Heritage game was incredible. Best football game I've seen in a long time. The Ponte Vedra staff should get tons of kudos cause they danced circle around Chad Wilson and those guys. That match-up should've never been a contest. I don't think I've ever seen a game where the opponents looked this lopsided. PV is the whitest and smallest squad I think I've ever seen and they have one D-1 athlete, their QB, and he's a 1AA kid. He single handily made Swiss cheese out of Heritage's defense. Heritage simply would not get out of man coverage and PV exploited them over and over again. Whoever #5 is on Heritage was getting chewed up in the slot.
This game was 100% an athletes versus coaching match-up, as Heritage athleticism was the only thing that kept them in the game. (via kick returns, long runs, etc) Heritage's offense is a grab bag, they never attempted to exploit PV's lack of speed/athleticsm and their QB seldom knew where to go with the ball.

Both of these kids need to be Canes in 2018 & 2019

Camron Davis absolutely dominated on this playoff run for CC, he was their MVP, he was unstoppable against every defense they played.

Nayquan Wright was injured for most of the playoffs, but he returned for his first game yesterday in the State title & rushed for 2TD's.
