You guys need to cool it. Thomas is taking his mother on his official to FSU. If I am a pro who gets paid to make educated guesses I say that's not good news for Miami. Mom loves the Canes. If Thomas felt the same way then game over but he has been non commital when asked and doesn't even have a firm visit planned for Miami. If he was 50/50 wouldn't you think that he and mom would have a visit planned for Miami. My read is that FSU has his attention. If they can sell Mom we are in trouble.

He's taking her on every single visit. Stop saying "we" because you're just another FSU troll.
Sorry but in this case you have jumped the gun. I was raised six blocks from the Orange Bowl and started attending UM games in the fifties. I want to be respectful to you but I am probably the oldest die hard Cane fan on this board. Are you saying that Thomas has set his visit? If so that is good news indeed because the latest I have is that he has not.

Don't let this bother you sir. Anyone who says anything that contradicts the general feeling of posters here is automatically labeled a "troll". This is how message boards roll.
Thanks. No problem and no offence taken.

what the **** are you talking about? they struck out a year ago in south florida.

Check the F$U roster and tell me again how they struck out.

That wasn't the question. I believe we hit on all of our South Florida targets who were considering FSU as well.

Last year, F$U signed a small class (19 players) that was disproportionately weighted with OOS players. That was somewhat of an aberration. There were not that many head-to-head battles. During most years, there are several recruiting battles and both schools win their fair share.

My point is that, given the history between these two schools, F$U will not get shutout. To believe otherwise, is fool's gold.

Now, If they do lay a goose egg on these six players, then we need to name an on campus building after Mr. Golden. That would be an incredible feat given the circumstances.

What are you basing this on? They got shut out last year. Who did they get in 2011? O'leary and Greene were hardly south Florida kids and Freeman never got recruited by us until the very end when Golden took over. Stop with the inferiority complex....this isn't Shannon and Coker....

My view is based on the history of recruiting battles with F$U over the past 20+ years.

I have zero inferiority complex especially when it comes to our rivals. There is nothing in our history with recruiting against F$U that would lead me to EXPECT to win ALL 6 battles. I EXPECT to win 4 of these recruiting challenges and perhaps 5. That is a heckuva accomplishment given what Golden is up against. No way Shannon or Coker could do that in their third year.

Because Golden is a PROVEN and resilient recruiter, we should do well. I will be disappointed with anything less than four. Expecting all six is simply setting yourself up for a fall. Can it happen? Sure. But, there is nothing other than Internet fodder and blind faith to suggest we can grab all six.

That's just my opinion. Again, nothing would please me more than to be wrong...and it certainly wouldn't be the first time.
