Fellas, UNC is not THE game.

The thought that we would impose another bowl ban is somewhat at odds with the though that we won't be cited for LOIC. It would be nice to have the NOA before you have to make that decision.

It would be great if they finally made their ******* decision so we can move on.

true, but beating them would give us more leeway to lose a game to someone else. Lose to them, and we could be staring at 2 ACC losses in a row, since I don't see us beating FSU. That would make the VT game, likely a must win, unless VT is going to lose 3 more ACC games (which they could since they have FSU and Clemson left).

It's pretty simple: every game is important. Bounce back and keep progressing. Don't worry about ACCCG and bowl bans. It's not in the control of golden or the players.

VT still has to play FSU and Clemson. It is highly likely they end up with at least 3 ACC losses. Win this game and Miami should win the division even if VT beats us. If they cant beat UVA and Duke then we gots major prawblems

Yes, there is a good chance VT may end up with 3 loses, but NCST just beat FSU; how many people were expecting that? Who knows what will actually happen for us or other teams, but what can be said, as of right now, is that UNC is the least important game to us in terms of an ACCCG birth. There really is no debating that.

FSU would be the least important no? UNC is still a division game(isn't that taken into account with tiebreakers?) I think UNC is huge as of right now cause it takes pressure off of them for the VT and FSU games as welll.

Out of the 5 remaining ACC games, the one we would choose to lose would be FSU, not UNC. The second tiebreaker after head to head is record within the division. UNC is in our division, and FSU is not in our division. As a result, we would rather lose to FSU than UNC, because despite their ineligibility, for the purposes of tiebreaker, it makes a difference.

The next ACC game is THE game at this point.

Exactly! Any chance we have on our field with our recruits able to watch is THE game. I think we need to play well for many reasons. There is no room for losses, if we win this and lose two of those we could still get into the acccg. The only thing we need to worry about is the next game on the schedule. And most importantly to me are the home games. That is where the future is, we need recruits to come see us play hard, win, and have a good time doing it. That is the kind of stuff that pays off in recruiting. And that FSU game could prove to be HUUUUUGGGGEEEE if we pulled the upset. Think about it if your a recruit, you know FSU hase 'better' players right now, and if they can't win it bodes well for this staff. Think about the level of recruit that will be at that game! There will be 3 years worth of top talent at that game. so winning it does help. EVERY win is big IMO.

You are right. The order of importance goes like this:

VT (1 ACC loss already but this team always ****es everyone off by reeling off 5 straight ACC wins and winning the division)
Duke (no ACC losses but still has to face the meat of its schedule)
UVA (already 2 ACC losses)
UNC (divisional game, but they are ineligible for ACCCG)

FSU (non divisional, but still ACC)

USF (meaningless, unless overall record is taken into account in ACC tiebreaker)

yep. 2 bowl bans = LOIC

idk if the admin has any clue what is coming down. another self imposed ban would not be a good sign IMO

To me, it is important that we have the option to self-impose, if that ends up being the way to go. Being bowl eligible just gives us the choice. We don't have to self-impose. I want us to have the choice.

The **** you say. Choose to lose vs. FSU? Numbers schmumbers. It makes more of a difference in the tally of our record against the Semenholes. But I see what you mean. Still, **** THAT NOISE.
