And the best for last. I actually went to the OB the day before the FSU game and took pictures of it before it was torn down. It was kind of weird being the ONLY person in the stadium (other than a few security guards and logistics guys). Gore's OT scamper the next night was EPIC!

This! Two of our greatest players (hard to find 2 better gamers for The U than Irvin and Taylor) sandwiching our greatest coach (sorry Lou & Schnelly but Jimmy gets my vote).

The first pic is a microcosm of all that was great during the 80s for The U -- a flamboyand playmaker triumphantly engulfed by the West Endzone. The second pic is sweet redemption personafied in a coach who gave so much to the program and, indeed, had suffered so much 12 months earlier in Tempe. The third pic captures the power and brilliance of one of the greatest individual performances by a Cane, particularly a defender, under extreme conditions and against our arch rivals, no less.
