Long night in Chapel Hill. This was the night their third string tailback went for like a buck fifty in the first half on his way to China never slowing down. Thanks for that Larry and Shannon.

Canefreak2001 love your work. Thanks a bunch for all the great videos. Yeah, I made a day trip up to Philly from the DC area for that game. Those were good days, but if you recall that game and several others from that season we just didn't look like the dominate team that we were. Basically, we under achieved. In that game, Temple ran the QB draw again and again, and we never really stopped it. Ironically, OSU would use essentially the same game strategy in the MNC game at the end of the season with the same result. VA Tech has made a name for themselves against us using that play (QB draw). But yes compared to what we've been through since then those were certainly good times.

I just remember our front seven 7 D just going through the motions, not putting forward much effort, and just getting run over.

I remember Canes looking in disbelief at how lethargic our defense looked. Going into the stadium that night I overheard UNC fans saying "Miami will probably hang 50 on us." I knew better but thought we'd at least squeeze out a W because we had some NFL caliber players on that team - Antrel, Devin, Olsen, etc. We laid a huge egg on defense. Not sure UNC has looked as good since.
