Official Fall Camp PractiSe #3: Friday, august 4

Bro its a drill on the 4th day in practice, wouldn’t it be logical to see if it continues during camp and into the games before having a meltdown lol
Ok but it carries over to scrimmages and into games. I'm just repeating myself now. Brooooooooooo

you say this has been happening for 15 years and act like we haven't had productive WRs in those 15 years lmao
I don't think there's an issue saying the WR production has not been up to snuff for that time period. We have had a few but the expectation should be higher than what we have produced. It's not an either-or.

It's very clear to me that 95% of this board never played a competitive sport in their lives. If only Twitter was a thing 20+ years ago and you mouthbreathers were reading reports of Andre Johnson and Reggie Wayne dropping balls in practice...
The funniest ones are when the reporters tweet out nice pass by tvd to restrepo then you see the video and its on air with no defense, nothing.. :ibis-roflmao-sm3: like what are we doing

Alright bud some of us here are tired of seeing the same **** year after year.
If this was a constant report or carrying through scrimmages, I think people understand the frustration. But it’s a note from a guy that isn’t your normal football savant, on the third day of practice, following an off day, and first day in uppers. There’s just a lot of context missing and things that are in play to warrant you concern with our WR and years of history. It’s camp, every position group will have rough days. Let’s discuss in a few weeks

I'm just thinking ahead like here we go again another year of this nonsense. I don't like Stock or any of those ***** at 247 but we have read reports of WR's dropping balls in practices and scrimmages and then carries over to games for years now. I'm not one to usually freak out over practice reports but WR's dropping routine balls drives me nuts...think Dorsett against ND in 2012.

But yes let's check back in a few weeks.

If they stopped trashing us and yapping when told not too regarding recruiting info they'd get more access. Simple cause & effect. They don't like it either change or f*** them.
The local media has always liked to paint their own narrative to try and sensationalize our sports stories (more often than not, harming our teams). They should all be fictional writers, but seem to have not made the cut in that respect either as proven by their subpar pencil pusher jobs.

Maybe you're confused of what the term open practice means. You just mentions SC and fspoo & Ohio State under those terms and I believe youre staying open practice as in it means they allow media or anyone for that matter access all throughout the entire practice. #1 that's blatantly inaccurate. #1 basically every school will have a practice or two before the end of camp where they open up access to virtually anyone. That said practice will be basic as can be that's viewed by all and when they're ready to work on more detailed things they'll move it inside and "end practice for the day". #2 by you stating SC & Ohio State when you were saying that I know both staffs quite well. They're flat out not doing that... Everyone gives limited viewing so to act like Mario is punishing this stupid *** media is inaccurate. When he chooses to shut down ANY ACCESS which I'm pretty sure he will than you'll know he is punishing the media. You're upset because it takes away from the ammo you get to come after us but oh well. The team is the concern. Not fans, not media.
Agree with pretty much all of that but fans are important and have to always be a concern like it or not. Without fans these guys would be playing intramural football in some park. A head coach cannot take the attitude of F the fans I could care less about them. Unless he wants an empty stadium with a slashed budget.

That said it does make sense to limit availability to our "not all friends of UM" media. Just need to find a balance that keeps people engaged and interested. Modern day football is a brand of entertainment after all.

I hear ya, but if this was a report that WR struggled on the day with drops. Or another day of drops and struggling, the concern is warranted. The comment was Dawson yelling about a drill where 2/4 balls were on the ground. We don’t know which group is the reason and again, there’s a lot of context missed. It could be TEs or RBs dropping. Or QBs throws.

Please find me a college program that isn't having dropped passed the first week of fall camp.

Y’all gotta chill lmao. The reactions to one man’s take on a drill to start practice
not really. Multiple observes commented on it.

Here's Geo's summation:

"The morning session had its ups and downs for the quarterbacks and wide receivers. However, as the practice progressed, they seemed to find their rhythm and ended on a positive note. The quarterbacks focused primarily on short-to-intermediate throws, aiming to fine-tune their accuracy and timing with the receiving corps.
Tyler was his usual self, consistent. Jacurri Brown displayed improved accuracy on short-to-intermediate throws during the QB-WR drills compared to the previous day’s practice. Emory Williams also caught the attention of onlookers with his consistent and impressive showing since camp opened on August 1st."
