UF AD Jeremy Foley on future games w/Miami: "Never say never but it's not high on the agenda" -- via @McMurphyESPN
I hate this place...from a Gator fan perspective, what are your thoughts on the UM/UF game (or lack thereof) regarding recruiting? Is the majority of your fanbase in favor of a 9th sec game or more of looking to continue scheduling whomever they choose?
I would think coming to SFL and playing football would be a high priority for any FL school...to keep a recruiting presence. What are your thoughts?
The 9th game is going to happen and if it does the Miami game will go I think the fans would prefer every game be a big game but it doesn't make sense from an AD and business perspective. You need a certain amount of homes games a year.I hate this place...from a Gator fan perspective, what are your thoughts on the UM/UF game (or lack thereof) regarding recruiting? From a coaching perspective no way Muschamp wants to play 9 games in the SEC plus FSU and then add Miami that would be the hardest schedule in the country every year.
Next year the UM game is probably UF's 5th hardest game while UF is UM's most difficult game.
UF doesn't need it from a recruiting stand point. If we win in the SEC and continue to send good recruiters like T Rob and Joker (laugh all you want now) UF will get theirs in SoFla. If anything the game might hurt UF recruiting. What game would fill up your stadium for a big recruiting weekend this year if UF wasn't on your schedule?
Here we are bicching about the Gators, and we just put Arkansas State on the schedule.
I could see Arkansas - but Arkansas State?
or you could win your conference and get into the playoffs and beat the SEC.Cool so teams have a disadvantage for not being in the SEC, and after the 9 game schedule no one will even be able to play them/beat them.
SEC Profits

lulz
Ao much arrogance in this post. And yet, you'll still never catch up to us in titles.
South Florida will always produce better athletes than north florida. Miami will always out-recruit UF in South Florida. Therefore, you guys will always be just a little less talented than we are.
We might be young and rebuilding lately, but when we meet next year, the Miami squad will have more talent, more future NFL players on it than UF's roster.
If it wasn't for your conference, UF would have ZERO bragging rights at all. So you better keep hiding behind it.
