Florida AD Jeremy Foley says if SEC goes to 9 games (plus the Gators facing FSU), it's hard to imagine having Miami on the schedule.

Gators AD Jeremy Foley says there are so many unknowns in SEC scheduling right now that the Miami series isn't a high priority

I hate this place...from a Gator fan perspective, what are your thoughts on the UM/UF game (or lack thereof) regarding recruiting? Is the majority of your fanbase in favor of a 9th sec game or more of looking to continue scheduling whomever they choose?

I would think coming to SFL and playing football would be a high priority for any FL school...to keep a recruiting presence. What are your thoughts?

Florida already has a recruiting presence in South Florida.

Playing Miami anually would benefit Miami far more than the Gators.

The 9th game is going to happen and if it does the Miami game will go I think the fans would prefer every game be a big game but it doesn't make sense from an AD and business perspective. You need a certain amount of homes games a year.

From a coaching perspective no way Muschamp wants to play 9 games in the SEC plus FSU and then add Miami that would be the hardest schedule in the country every year.
Next year the UM game is probably UF's 5th hardest game while UF is UM's most difficult game.

UF doesn't need it from a recruiting stand point. If we win in the SEC and continue to send good recruiters like T Rob and Joker (laugh all you want now) UF will get theirs in SoFla. If anything the game might hurt UF recruiting. What game would fill up your stadium for a big recruiting weekend this year if UF wasn't on your schedule?

They've been ducking us for decades now. Once upon a time they even tried to get out of the yearly game with FSWho. They're a bunch of craven, yellow-bellied swamp lizards. Last time they went OOS to play an out of conference opponent was in 1991. That's weak, even for cowards like them.

Yeah...I agree you need a certain amount of home games. I wasn't suggesting that the Gators would play 9 SEC's & UM & F$U. That would never happen...they'd be foolish to to something like that.

I agree that not playing doesn't necessarily hurt UF in recruiting (they are a major brand that sells anywhere)...but still a presence can't hurt.

Not sure I agree UF is UM's toughest game next year...my thought would probably still be on the road at fsu. It's always a tough rivalry game. Thanks for your thoughts.

Here we are bicching about the Gators, and we just put Arkansas State on the schedule.

I could see Arkansas - but Arkansas State?

How does Arkansas help either?

Since we recruit Georgia, play Georgia.

Since we recruit Texas, play Texas or TAMpon

Since we recruit California, play UCLA, USC or Cal

Once a year if you are playing a good OOC opponent, schedule one where you can recruit too. Hey Blake James, where you at?

Honestly, I would love to play UF every year or at least every other year but it will never happen in the next 5 years.

Decades long same ole same ole. Turds should rename themselves the dodgers. Only time they'll consider to play us is when we're down and they're up.

this whole 9 game in conference schedule excuse is the BIGGEST BUNCH OF BULL****E EVER!....

reason is-the excuse machine was in effect LOOOOOOONG before the rumored 9 game thing.

Florida, Miami and Florida St. should play every year, they just should. Forget excuses from each side, the state title should be played out between the big 3 each and every season.

Cool so teams have a disadvantage for not being in the SEC, and after the 9 game schedule no one will even be able to play them/beat them.

SEC Profits

Ao much arrogance in this post. And yet, you'll still never catch up to us in titles.

South Florida will always produce better athletes than north florida. Miami will always out-recruit UF in South Florida. Therefore, you guys will always be just a little less talented than we are.

We might be young and rebuilding lately, but when we meet next year, the Miami squad will have more talent, more future NFL players on it than UF's roster.

If it wasn't for your conference, UF would have ZERO bragging rights at all. So you better keep hiding behind it.

I dont know what to tell you I was just stating what is going on not bragging about anything.
You really believe Miami has more talent than UF?
When do you think Miami will have a better recruiting class than UF?
You realize UF is one of the reasons the SEC is so strong right?

LOL, Bama might have issue with your last statement. Since Tebow left, you've been very pedestrian, plain and simple. Your lack of ability to maintain your elite status shows the flaws in your program. You have two reasons for your success, luck and Tebow.

Oh and Urban, and fact is he saw what was coming and bolted "for his health".
