Ezekiel Marcelin commits to Miami

I mean this just seems exactly like the Shavers recruitment last year. If he gets recruited over down the line, so be it.
You think taking a commitment from another LB from Central only to process them out later on is a good idea long term? We should never have an issue with getting kids from that school but that sounds like a recipe to start to make that happen. I don't think they would take this commitment unless it was a kid they want in the class. Lock up Melendez and add Nix and that is a great LB class.

You just described a reach.. Why a 3 LB if you are confident on Melendez and are heavily pursuing Nix the IMG kid.
You are on here to play contrarian my guy. You need to take it up with Cristobal and D Nic and Guidry. This is their 3rd class i like what they doing at the position overall. I like the pick up. Penn St and others after him. He took a OV there. U claim u watch players offer list, but suddenly u not sure about this one yeah? Do not care if u and others on here dont like it, thats a you problem.

It couldn’t be more different. He’s way ahead of shavers as a player. They played on the same team and it was obvious Marcelin was different. He had nearly double the production of Shavers last year.

Same team here are the stats:
Marcelin: 109 tackles 19 TFL’s 12 sacks
Shavers: 49 tackles 14 TFL’s 7 sacks

I’m not saying he’s elite but this is a guy who’s played at the highest level in HS and made plays all over the field for 3 straight years.

So he was the Friday commit that got delayed to today? Would make more sense than we "missed" on someone else.
I don't know if he was supposed to be the Friday commit, but I was told, that the Friday commit was still taking visits and the thinking was that it would be awkward if he was on a visit and committed to Miami
