I'd rather us spend whatever it takes to get a good qb and get 8 or 9 wins vs. what our record will look like with Emory. Yes, he's not worth that type of money, but if that's what the market bears then so be it. We do not want to follow in FSU's footsteps and follow a good season with a garbage one.

Not my money, right? We def need a QB and a good one at that. It's gna be ugly if Emory is starting or some other average qb

So the goat said 6mil is 60% of our roster budget. If that’s true then we got 10mil to spend. Whereas Ohio state and Oregon have 20+. If that’s even close to true then how can any of us expect to compete legitimately

I am not questioning the number, but we’re poor when we want to be and rich when we want to be.

We were lectured on budget for a reason. It is a pro perception of Mario reason one way or another, so let’s see how it plays out.

The fact that we're in year 4, and we're desperately relying on a massive portal haul is embarrassing. There should be no reason we're lacking talent in the db, lb, and dline room. Heck, you could even throw WR in that category. The defensive staff has failed to recruit/develop talent, and there is no reason any of them should return. There is way too many holes on this team, and we don't have the money to fix them all.

We don't have that much money for one player.

$6mill would be 60% of our entire budget.

And we've already spent a nice portion of it.

Serious question (no sarcasm)

What is UM’s NIL budget? (And, at least for now, if there is no NCAA-mandated salary cap, isn’t the budget whatever UM decides to spend?)

(Trying to info gather during this crazy process)
