Ewers worth $6M!! **** Nah

Question. If player has an agent, and a team contacts the agent only, is that still considered tampering?

I think so. I looked up the rule when the Lucas stuff started and it pretty broadly prohibits a school from directly or indirectly contacting a player on another team. The would mean contacting agents and back channeling at the direction of the school/staff are not permitted. While there are likely some schools just blatantly tampering, I would guess most of it is done through intermediaries that at least give the school a plausible way to deny it was directing the contact. Conversations among players and family members and maybe agents and stuff like that.

There's no reason for them to be.

He stinks & they've had success in back to back seasons with 1 year rentals.
Would make sense. He's the exact Qb I'd pick that just feels right as following up on Bo Nix -> Dillon Gabriel -> XYZ

Oh okay. I honestly didn't even think about who it was from, I'm more so responding to OP for saying "**** nah" as if we shouldn't spend that amount to have him...... instead of what we currently have.
We don't have that much money for one player.

$6mill would be 60% of our entire budget.

And we've already spent a nice portion of it.

We’re talking a slightly above average college QB surrounded by much better than average talent. He’s a backup at best QB in NFL.
