ESPNS PROJECTED STANDINGS ACC

You're trying too hard. Golden has a lot to prove, no doubt, I've said that many times. Williams was the only QB we had on our roster with game experience, and presumably he's lost for the season. I never said he was some sort of superstar. And maybe the four letter network is paying attention to Golden, but I doubt it. I don't think they see what we see.

Yeah, it's hard being an old school Cane and seeing that, but I'm guessing they feel our season tanked when Ryan got injured. I have little knowledge of what the other teams will have but I know we're not losing to Duke, Pitt, and UNC at home.

Who was Ryan Williams?

Only 3 teams in the ACC are returning with their QB from a year ago.

ESPN isn't selling the off their Cane stocks over a QB.

Golden is heading into his 9th season as a CEO.

He has never won more than 9 games.

He has never won his conference.

He has never won a bowl game.

We have enough talent to compete in the ACC, but our coaching staff will prevent that from happening.

1-11 versus teams that finished with 7 or more wins.

If you translated Golden's resume into a corporate America equivalency......you'd have an unemployed fat guy.

Duke is the benchmark. We are not there yet. 2 years till we match their talent and 4 years till we win it all...the Coastal I mean.

I thought you would understand, so let me make it easier. By draftable players, that would mean players that have the potential to be drafted, i.e, have enough talent to play at the next level, which would mean they have shown enough potential during their college careers to be drafted. Ergo, having more players draftable on your team, would mean your team the year before had talent.

Majority of those players everyone wish they could get our freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and some seniors.

How many players that are draftable in 2014, which are all seniors would others teams want? Maybe Morris? Seantrel? Linder? Hurns? Is that the list or am I missing some?

Wake Forest gave us all we wanted, how many draftable players do they have? Duke wrecked us with a coastal championship gift wrapped to us with how many draftable players?

#1 - we beat WF
#2 - Duke won 10 games, time to stop looking at the helmet and looking at the actual players.

Because Duke has so many players that will be drafted in this draft or the next two.

Duke won 10 games in who knows how long. Its ok to tip your hat to them when they defy all odds and have a great season.

But then again, you are the same person who talks about not looking at outliers, then talk about how Auburn turned it around in 1 year, so that means it should happen everywhere.

You claim that we have no talent by pointing at the lack of seniors we'll have drafted in May, but fail to acknowledge that Duke will have zero players drafted. How again did they have more talent than us?

We back....wait....wut?

Duke has been in the same system for 7 years now! DUKE HAD A GREAT YEAR!!!! GEEZUZ!

How many other times have they beat us besides this one great year they had? Even under Golden?

Ok. So now we're gonna pretend as if you didn't blame our bad season on our lack of talent? Cool.

Also, I did a quick Google search and this is what I came up with. Apparently we've only played Duke 11 times and have only lost twice. This past season and in 1976.

Atlantic
1. FSU
2. UL
3. Clemson
4. Syracuse
5. NC STATE
6. BC
7. Wake

Coastal
1. V-Tech 8-4 (5-3)
2. UNC 8-4 (5-3)
3. PITT 8-4 (5-3)
4. DUKE 8-4 (4-4)
5. GT 7-5 (4-4)
6. Miami 7-5 (4-4)
7. Virginia 4-8 (2-6)

WOW what a slap in the face

Have we shown the world any indicators that would disagree with this analysis?

Exactly my thought. I only wished Golden at least had the killer instinct, but the guy is too loyal and that is the true reason why he would never be good. Maybe Penn State saw that. Maybe Mario Cristobal saw that. Maybe Fisher, Saban, Muschamp and every coach in the nation knows that uses it to recruit against Miami to pluck all those high caliber players.

So my fellow Canes I give you our new cloud....Glolden's killer instinct...or lack thereof. Have fun. lol

Read carefully, real careful. The talent level of our seniors last year was low. No one is blaming our "bad" season on anyone, as you call it. We were who our record says we were, and that was a 9 win team, even with the senior talent not being where it should be.

So yeah, Duke winning 10 games for the first time in their entire history would be considered an outlier.

I understand your flawed logic. Because we only have 2-4 seniors who'll be drafted that means our team was bad. That still doesn't explain why Duke was able to win 10 games when they have 0 that will be drafted.

:ibisroflmao:
LMAO! Let me guess, they were able to win 10 games because the coaching is superior! Even though it was 7 years in?

You are special.

Keep the crying going....

I personally blame our bad year on Golden. And we're not what our record says. 9 wins means you had a pretty good year. But we barely beat 7 teams and we man handled 2 teams. Savannah St, who is a D-1AA bottom feeder and a Bulls team that completely sucked and is getting rebuild from the ground up.
