Not just that but getting flips against us hasn’t been an issue until now either

I know we get excited for shiny new toys on Christmas but the way he’s held classes together with poor results on the field has been extremely impressive

Can’t miss guys and also get flipped

But we will see how it shakes out between now and the portal. “Recruiting” is a pretty long process with the portal
notice all the flips are on the side of the ball with questions ... we get that sewed up and we good ... not sure what mc did to earn so much mistrust ... not to mention we know he's gonna go nuts following esd with recruiting

Beginning of the end if he goes 0-6 dead ***

You can’t go 0-6 or have a high miss rate and expect to be ok during the portal cycle. First time for me where I am beginning to doubt Mario and this regime and if he can’t do it fold it up bruh. This is supposed to be his strength
Going 0-6 all but surely tells me this won't work out. That would mean his biggest strength does not show up, leaving us with his miserable coaching.

Yeah I’ll see how it plays out. I don’t know specifics on money or anything so it’s hard to say just don’t really see anyone in our class that’s worth breaking the bank for to hang on to if that’s what’s happening

If we are moving say money we would need for Stubbs in order to get someone like Hanks or Pickett or whatever (just hypothetically) then on the macro level it makes sense

I do know Mario won’t take this lying down

As of 12:30pm, this is the following chain of results.

***Assuming no other team behind us adds kids (unlikely)***

- Lose Nix and Merritt, land Alford: 12th
- Lose Nix and Merritt, land no one: 13th
(Oklahoma could land a 2-star and they’d jump us though, that’s how close it is. Slightly bigger gap to Ole Miss).

- Lose Nix, Merritt and Moore, land Alford: 13th (same scenario as above regarding OU and Ole Miss)

- Lose Nix, Merritt and Moore, land no one: 16th (0.06 ahead of USC for 17th)

- Lose Merritt, keep Nix and land Alford: 12th, still behind Gator

- Lose Merritt, lose Nix, land Alford, land Pickett: 10th

The last one is probably our best case scenario as it involves keeping everyone except Merritt (who we know is pretty much gone), and flipping two big recruits.

Look away

They’re actually gonna go 0-fer. That is crazy to me

I don't think you can have it both ways in recruiting. You either fire most or all of your defensive staff and lose a recruit or two, or you keep the defensive staff and maybe hang out to a recruit.

Losing Stubbs and maybe Nix definitely stings, but I don't think it is a reason for doom and gloom. Give me some fresh blood on the defensive coaching staff and start focusing on the portal and '26.

I just hope you guys understand that we are going to have to overspend in the portal to offset this.

You can’t have it both ways. You can’t say we’re not overspending in HS, but then all of a sudden we land portal guys and say they wanted to come here all along…no, we likely out-bagged teams.

If we don’t land either our top targets in HS or the portal, you’ll know the boosters think Mario is BBQ chicken here. And to be quite frank, he would be - after all, his main thing is talent acquisition, right?
Right we are still paying the suck tax

Just gotta see where we spend it and how to figure it out

It’s a year later with what happened with last years close and portal so we can look back and see but until then it’s tough

The month of November and now beginning of December is the end of Mario. A large chunk of the fanbase will have their head in the sand like they always do even though they’ve witnessed the same signs every single failed regime. Mario will be gone by back half of 2026

13th it is then

Lifetime ban bet says that last part will not happen

So if you don’t get any defensive commits and lose two, there’s no excuse to keep Guidry past tomorrow right?
Only thing would be if they rank us ahead of the SEC trio in the CFP. Probably wouldn’t get fired if we do end up making it.

He just might be demoted until the end of the season. Or maybe Mario lets him keep calling plays, idk.

Now if we’re behind Bama, or Ole Miss, or SCar etc., then yeah, we can’t jump those teams anymore. Ship him out immediately.
