Not just that but getting flips against us hasn’t been an issue until now either

I know we get excited for shiny new toys on Christmas but the way he’s held classes together with poor results on the field has been extremely impressive

But we will see how it shakes out between now and the portal. “Recruiting” is a pretty long process with the portal

We have a good solid class. However as D$ has said for months we need impact guys to take the next step. This class does not have those dudes.

If it plays out like this then the class is disappointing, no way to spin it.

I agree with this. Stubbs to me was not the loss these would be except hanks because I never thought we had a shot with him.

I mean if we ultimately determine that certain guys aren’t worth the going rate, and we allocate that to the portal then a year from now we will know if that was a good idea or not

I just hope you guys understand that we are going to have to overspend in the portal to offset this.

You can’t have it both ways. You can’t say we’re not overspending in HS, but then all of a sudden we land portal guys and say they wanted to come here all along…no, we likely out-bagged teams.

If we don’t land either our top targets in HS or the portal, you’ll know the boosters think Mario is BBQ chicken here. And to be quite frank, he would be - after all, his main thing is talent acquisition, right?

Better hit on the portal. We can hee haw fsu all we want, but high school recruiting is taking a backseat in 2024. You just better be sure you have a talented team that buys in every season, or you do risk becoming fsu
