It's almost as if the new coaching staff has a plan...

"The new coaching staff"...of one guy.

Nobody doubts that Jai Lucas has a plan. People question whether he can execute that plan.

Personally, I didn't think Reneau would choose us at the end of the day so that addition makes it more realistic to see

Now I'm just curious of what Jai's vision for the offensive system he wants to run. L was always guard centric, driving and kick and shoot, plus scoring in transition. L never had a player like Reneau. Norchad was the closest, similar player in the post, but he was also our primary big man and Reneau won't be.

Guessing we're going to do a lot of pick and roll and isolation - meaning we're going to slow things down. Different than I expected because I remembered his dad being a big fast paced offense guy in the NBA.

Every team that can sign top tier athletes wants to be good in transition so that will still be part of us as well, especially with Jai's identity in defense and "turning defense into offense" being able to score off steals/hustle plays.

Has he been hired yet or announced as a new hire by Miami yet? Because, and I'm just guessing here, right, he probably can't coach or recruit until that happens.

Hey, this is par for the Miami course. The interwebz announced the hiring of Jai Lucas in February, yet he wasn't hired until March.

I've never said that those guys WON'T be on the Miami staff. I responded to a person who asked whether the ONE OFFICIAL MEMBER OF OUR COACHING STAFF might be struggling to recruit due to the lack of a full coaching staff.

But thanks for telling us who will someday be named to our coaching staff, and who will someday commit to our roster.

So it's official only when the social media account announces it? Are you this dense?

No, it's official when he is hired and starts working and UM announces that as such. Not the "social media account".

This is why people hate you, because you are such a disingenuous bull****ter and an arrogant prick.

The truly sad thing here is that you don't realize I have superior information to what you glean from "trilly donovan" and the rest of your interwebz outlets.

Didn't know you worked in HR at UM. My apologies.

My biggest issue with Kidd was his strength. I noticed it in the first few games, he didn't have a presence on the boards at all because of how weak he was.

This guy is a bull strength wise. Rim protector too. Think he fits what jai wants defensively.

Will just have to find him a role offensively, but shouldn't be too hard. A lob threat/PnR guy is a solid role to have on offense.

DeAndre Jordan type player
Any 6’10”+ guy in college basketball who can run the floor and rebound at a high level could very easily average a double-double. IF Udeh could prove to do those 2 things at an elite level, he very easily could average double digit points off transition, put backs, dump offs and FTs. Wouldn’t have to run a single play for him. In today’s game, quality bigs are accustomed to getting theirs off the muscle.

Don’t wanna get caught up in the crossfire but word has been going around that Pastrana and Moran are on board. Pastrana has even gone public with it. 🤷‍♂️

Apparently he's a very strong Offensive Rebounder that doesn't put back a lot. Very efficient and effective there on the offensive glass at about the same clip as Norchad. Probably something he needs to work on and he could easily up his scoring 2-3 points per and get into the double figures. Just a confidence/maturity thing knowing when to put it back in instead of grab it and push it back out.

Understood, and it's nothing personal.

But "word has been going around" does not mean that they are employed and recruiting for Miami yet.

I believe it will happen. It has not yet happened. And for the record, I blame Radakovich. This is sheer incompetence on his part. Jai Lucas is just one person, and Radakovich needs to speed things up while Jai is doing the job all by himself.

The world knows Moran is coming to Miami. Radakovich needs to announce that Moran will join us at the conclusion of his season so that it is "official" to guys in the Portal.

Lots of dopey porsters are acting like the Portal guys all have 5 leisurely official visits to take before they make their decisions. But that's not how the Portal works, it moves FAST, and we are ****ing away our "early hiring" advantage. Not all these Portal kids are as "up" on the latest coaching rumors at Miami like RCT members are.

1. An AD doesn't announce that assistants/support staffers are joining the program, the HC does.
2. If you don't think Moran, Pastrana, etc. have been on calls with prospective recruits/portal guys then I don't know what to tell you
3. Reneau clearly visited without any 'announcement' occurring on social media about him doing so

What kind of game are we expecting Lucas to run? Curious if he likes small, quick up tempo ball, or more of a set play methodical maybe utilize bigs in a post game? Guess we can only guess correct?

Probably like those Virginia teams from a couple of years ago... defense defense defense.. 45 pt games
