Any big time WR that goes to UF needs to get their head checked. That said I haven't felt good about Lane for awhile, always thought he'd end up at Bama.

Would love a Dixon, Rudolph + maybe 1 more to finish out at WR.
remember you guys already have Langham people are really sleeping on him

Trying to be as unbiased as possible but I honestly like Langham's film as much as Lane's. What's his deal? Just didn't camp alot?

He had the offers he was one of the top WR's on FSU's board. He was just real hard to get a hold of for reporters. His QB is also terrible. ESPN has him ranked pretty **** high. But to answer your question nothing was wrong just a lot of people on this site were busy sucking off other WR's they had heard about for years or showed out in 7 vs 7 tournaments. Coaches that recruit the area knew who he was.

As another poster pointed out in a great post, Langham has awesome body control for such a big kid. I thought that was the draw of J. Carter as well watching him play basketball. Plenty of tall guys can be fast but can't use their bodies for ****.

A kid that big that can move like that is going to be tough to handle for any college DB.

I'm not saying he's definitely not going to UF, because he could.....but, LOL at "out of respect for Barrow." Seems to me Barrow would rather Lane be real with him instead of playing him, especially as family. But just my opinion.

Honestly if someone would choose to play for Muschamp over Golden????????

On top of that would you rather live in Gainesville over Coral Gables???

Some people do. Some kids see Gainesville as a college town and they want a different environment. Some kids want to get away from their parents and everything they've ever known. For some, it's a kind of excitement to finally leave home. Maybe they don't see living in the dorms at Coral Gables the same way.

I hope the kid comes, but like Schnelly said, "we've never been able to keep all the kids at home..." I do think we start winning and get the NCAA off our backs it will help. BUT...we can't keep 100% home, especially when there are "inducements" elsewhere.

Or, maybe I should have said, "inducement$".

JHova is a gator all the way never a doubt there lol..I know him personally we both grew up in the "New Bulidings" down in Homestead. We grew up with Lanes dad and uncles down there. Now I am not saying Lane is not coming to Miami or going to Florida. But he is dialed in with high school sports down there for the most part. JHOVA= A highschool basketballl coach on the South in end of the county who graduated from Florida lol...Remember these are 17 yr old kids who change their minds on a consistent basis trust me. My son is most likely going to end upplaying ball against Miami with one of the NC schools. He changes which school he likes LITERALLY every 3-4 days!!! So take it all with a grain of salt and let it play out to the end. Either you win with us in the future or we kick your a** on the march back to greatness.

not this **** again! believe it or not, a ton of kids would rather spend their college career in a college town rather than Coral Gables/Miami. this is true whether you're an athlete or not. But the athletes have the added benefit of being essentially worshipped by tens of thousands of people, and play in front of packed crowds every week. whether you like it or not those factors are big positives in recruiting.

and while i would rather play for Golden, Muschamp appears to have the Gators on the right trajectory. notwithstanding the collapse in New Orleans, they had a very good season last year.

Lane will not be going to Florida, there is 0% chance of Lane going to FLorida. Lane will be a cane just like Tracy Howard

If he were to pick UF he's not very intelligent. I wouldn't want stupid players on my team.

With that being said I'd be absolutely shocked if he was even considering UF at this point. I call BS on that "info." This is a Miami/Bama battle.

This same guy said Howard was all Gator and only giving Miami interest for Malcolm and said the exact same thing about Coley a year in advance. That the race was all FSU/USF and Miami was just a favor to his coach. Hes a gator ******* who picks everyone to UF. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Also cue the photo of Lane wearing a Miami t-shirt on his Florida visit.

Lets be honest none of us know where lane is leaning or anything. In all of his interviews he says the same thing. I think we just don't want to get our hopes up and get burned like we have before with a few top prospects recently. All i know is one monkey doesn't stop the show. The U will hold up!

Every self-proclaimed insider on all sites have been wrong.

Ferman, Bakas, the ITU guys, and even the gurus on this site have been wrong.

I don't know where he's going but the one **** thing that IHATE has said that is correct and not condescending is that Florida is out for blood in south florida recruiting. They're gonna do everything they can and recruit every kid that can help them win or hurt their rivals to keep them down.

Lol @ u clowns worrying about the receiver position. Least of our issues and in goods hands for the forseeable future. Cold give 2 ***** about Lane.

honestly you guys are looking at it the wrong way. everytime you lose a kid that is really really good, you help another powerhouse load up to help win a national championship. it doesn't really matter if we technically need him or not at a position that might be loaded. why do you think Bama keeps taking running backs, like 6 of em in a class? Bc they know if they don't take em, it will help somebody else. You gotta fight for every stud you can. Especially the ones in your back yard.

Some kid's are obvious like Grace and some are truly wait and see kids. Lane HIMSELF said he wants to play for a winning program. He said he wouldn't make his decision until he saw what we did on the field this season. He's a smart kid, thats not going to call it Final until it is. Anyone who say's differently is lying, a douch or just stupid. I'm guessing the gator that's mentioned by the OP is all three.
