Emory Williams

Your reading comprehension skills are clearly lacking. As I stated “At least Jb11 had a strength” unlike Amory who State run media and blind fans lauded and praised.
To your point Jb11 did start against Iowa State and put up more points and yards than Amory. Jb11 also looked better in the bowl game than your panhandle savior ever did. In my opinion this just adds to the CLEAR INDITEMENT on this offensive staph
I thought the Jacurri hive worker bees wouldve been long gone watching him be trash elsewhere. Yet here we are.

You arguing for Brown over “Amory” is like arguing if you would rather be shot in the left vs right knee. It doesnt matter because you got shot either way

To the people who wanted to build around him, why? I'm not trying to argue or call anyone out. I honestly want to know.

I've asked this question multiple times in the last 2 weeks but never got an answer that wasn't "because."

Was it something you guys read on here? Was it blind hope? Somebody.. what was it?
I think it’s blind homerism
Nothing else can explain it
I see 40ish pts a day ppl from all walks of life
All *** race creed and so many of them have a similar problem
They can’t admit faults in themselves or things they like And extremely overvalue their own self worth or things they like
A simple example
You would be shocked how many obese pts tell me they aren’t fat when I tell them to lose weight
Even with a bmi over 30

This is the only answer anyone has given and its probably correct.

Maybe its just how I'm wired, but I just don't understand denialism on any level. I'm willing to listen to anyone who presents facts/data. I will gladly change my opinion and often do. But I have little patience for people who argue against a verifiable fact with thier opinion/gut feeling.

Which leads me back to Emory. Not one single person on his bandwagon has been able to explain why they believed in him. So you're probably right. Its most likely blind homerism.

I admit that I was someone who wanted to give Emory a chance to compete. I figured that if we recruited a QB, he should be good enough to compete for a starting quarterback position when his time comes up. The coaches see Emory in practice every day, so they should also have insight. I was proven wrong in the second half of the Pop Tarts Bowl, unfortunately.

I have to go further to say that this was the worst performance by a backup Quarterback in any bowl I have watched this year. Most recently, for example, Duke’s third string QB was better than Emory, and so was the Ole Miss backup. Second and third string QBs played in a lot of bowls this year, and they all played better and were more prepared, regardless of the outcomes. I also wasn’t a fan of the Dawson play calls, and three weeks of preparation should have gotten Emory ready, just as the other programs prepared their backups. Emory also had to play with the WR backups, but so did other bowl-eligible programs.

Emory showed no confidence nor did anyone around him. He actually looked like a first year player. Are our QB’s getting the right development? It didn’t look like it. I would think with Cam Ward you could spend a little more time with QB2.
There is no amount of development that can do anything for Emory. He simply doesn't have the ability to be a P4 QB.

That's why in nearly every game he's played against P4 teams, the gameplan was almost the exact same, just hand the ball off a ton with a few sporadic lob passes here & there.

But overall, his throwing mechanics are completely broken, on top of the fact he has no arm talent.

He's a poor man's Graham Mertz.

Get him ready to do what?

He can't throw...

Imagine being in the pit crew of a NASCAR driver, who's car has no transmission... In the middle of the race. What exactly are they supposed to do?

Not offer him a scholarship in the first place

Not keep Emory on the roster and promote him to third string

Not tell us that they have confidence in Emory

recruit QBs like Rocco Becht at Wesley Chapel, instead of recruiting Jacurri BROWN and the others

Sometimes yall gotta understand that a kid just doesn’t have it. It has nothing to do with a coaches development.

Those were all decisions made by Frank Ponce, not Dawson's Creek.
Dawson did decide to roll with Judd though. I still don't understand how any coach could look at Jacurri and Emory and decide to settle on Judd.

It makes me wonder if he thought he'd be a HC somewhere else by the time them QB room would be an issue.

I'm not so sure he has autonomy on player evals.

Bro Jb was FAR more productive than Amory against a common opponent and that’s a FACT! Jb put up 4 TDS against Iowa State, I’m just looking at the real, dispute that.
Having hate in your heart ain’t gonna change that. 4 touchdown is 4 touchdowns, you’re getting shot analogy is Stupid. Sounds like something Mario would have said when comparing a qb that scored 4 tds and a qb sack of ****…. Get your mind right!

This is one of the best things I've read all day. I was in the same boat, trusting the coaches and writers on TOS that said he was good and could eventually be elite. But it was shocking to see how bad he looked. Based off of Cribbys statement that they weren't prepared to play EW - my question is why? Why isn't the second string ready to go with a team that's trucking for over 300 yards and a 10 point lead?
