Emory Williams [ Not in portal]

Just mental. Judd is a far superior athlete physically to Emory.
I know these days it seems **** near impossible to build a QB depth chart so we need Judd to be a hit. I like the Nickel/Coleman potential of course but IIRC Dawson was more pushing for Judd so I’m hoping he proves some people wrong

Emory can find another P4 school if he decides to leave.
Picked Miami over offers from Auburn, California, Florida State, Pitt and Wisconsin, among others.

Judd is a clone of that qb he had at Houston, Thine I think was his name. I totally understand why a coach would see an athletic 6'6" and say, " let me cook with this kid ". Hopefully this spring just shows a decent step forward.

Agreed. Looking around the country I think our QB situation is actually pretty solid. If Judd could turn into something suddenly it looks pretty strong

As I mentioned before, I really hopes he just devotes himself to learning the coaching craft and use his scholly to get a good education. He doesn't have the goods, so why chase after something that's not gonna happen? Hope he has good cousel.

As much as I loved the amount of heart he showed against FSU, his objective performance won't get him any P4 offers, except possible a lower B12 school who wants to take a chance. Even then he won't be doing himself any favors. His best bet is to go to a G5 school with a good QB coach.

I'm tired of players feelings having an impact on who plays/who doesnt, what coaches to keep or not keep.

Guess what. You wanted to get paid, you are getting paid. Its officially a business now.

I'm also one of the few who roll my eyes at "well coaches can up and leave for more money anytime they want."

Yeah...they can because most of them put in 4-5 years of playing college and then bounced around (sometimes with a family) to try and make ends meet and move their way up. So yeah when a 50 year old guy who probably slept on a floor making 5000 per semester as a GA and then moved to the middle of nowhere to make 15K coaching special teams, etc etc decides to leave a school after 2-3 years because someone offered them life changing money...yeah I'm good with it.

But some kid who hasnt done anything other than get a 4th star from some slap **** website because he beat a kid with no pads on 2 years ago; I could really care less how he is treated now that he is getting paid.

Sorry, end rant/
