Elite DE Hayden Lowe flips his commitment to Miami

Apparently @CANESCANES isn't the only fan to fall for the banana in the tailpipe.

From the Gator board, regarding Tramell Jones flipzing from F$U to Hogtown...

Lowes comment on the staff's persistance is why I dont ever question or second guess Mario and this staff when we lose out on a recruit. I know this staff does everything they can to get the recruits on their board. Certain guys just dont want to be here. If they were giving Lowe this kind of attention..what do you think they are doing for Pickett, Hanks, etc? Probably **** near showing up to the family reunions! Lol. We have a GREAT recruiting staff and to the poster that said Mario wasnt an elite level, top 3 recruiter..you are CRAZY.

Yeah... setting an edge is hard as fucc when your always in the fuccin "A" gap cause your DC keeps telling you to run twists stunts that ain't worked all **** game. FML
this is so infuriating to me...the ****** amount of twist and line game they do with the ends...its gotten to the level of mannys dline shooting up the field with no gap inbtegrity.

And this sh*t happened in THE FIRST GAME.....That is why uf popped the long td run and the dude just keeps on running it. Like dude you aint at a g5 school these edges can do what they do with out all the gimmicks

At least with Diaz, the “no gap integrity” D would sometimes lead to turnovers. Forced 31 turnovers in 2017 (best in P5, #3 in cfb) and 25 turnovers in 2018 (#16 overall). If you had a QB like Ward, that D can work even if giving up explosive plays because it gives UM extra chances to put points on the board.

With Guidry, you get all of the downside and none of the upside. UM has only forced 13 turnovers so far this year, and 18 last year. It’s a terrible scheme.

USC boards saying we paid him 2.5 mil :2h3mpi1:
Complete BS.

The market for D-ends isn’t 2 million/year, much less 2.5. Outside of the JJ Smith’s there are very few high school football players commanding that much in NIL. Maybe for 3-4 years. Even QB’s are not making that much except for the few elites, and that market is already correcting itself.

The issue with NIL value is the same as NFL free agency. What is the value of the position. And with high school athletes the “bust” rate is important as well. Look at Jaden Rashada. A player like him can drive down NIL value for the position because he increases the bust rate.
In the end the NIL deals for transfers, especially QB’s, will be higher than high school if it isn’t already because the bust rate will be lower.

I agree that we didn’t give him $2.5, find that hard to believe but they are claiming 2.5 over 3 years, not per year lol.

That I can believe. I read the original comment to mean 2.5 for 1 year which would be outrageous for any d-end not named TJ or JJ Watt, or Myles Garrett.

hes good
but hes let too many elite players leave the state under him
even this year we dont have a single commit from the TOP 10 players in florida
he has to flip hanks and picket to land even 1 top 10 player from fl this year

It’s almost like this ***** ain’t watching game film. Infuriating as ****.
many times is hard for coaches to leave their past behind
he needs to understand mario will get him better quality ingredients so he doesnt have to keep cooking up funky things to mask the taste of the low quality food
we actually have prime cuts now

Canesport has a story up = they spoke to him right after the announcement.

- Staff didn't know. He said he text Jason Taylor right after it went public.

“I texted (co-defensive line coach) Jason Taylor, `What other defensive linemen do I have in my class that are coming to Miami?’ He gave me the list and I said, `Well you have one more: Hayden Lowe.’ And he sent me a long text that (included) `You won’t regret this decision.’ Now they know.”

According to Canesport, Lowe’s flip came, in part, thanks to a rebuilt relationship with the Hurricanes’ staff. Lowe felt locked in with USC last month, but as the Hurricanes continued to prioritize the four-star EDGE, he found himself listening to the message from Miami’s staff — telling him he could be the face of the Hurricanes’ program and be coached by a NFL Hall-of-Famer.

He said he told USC about a week ago he was decommitting. A few other schools, including Oregon , got wind of it and started blowing up his phone. He said he hinted to Miami he was considering a flip.

“They made me feel like I was the poster boy down there, if I go there I can be the face of their program,” Lowe said. “And if I go there I can get connected, coached by one of the best defensive linemen in the history of football. It was a history I couldn’t pass at all.”
He went on to say that he never felt that way with USC - they would hit him up here and there but never the consistent attention he got from Miami

Lowe plans to sign Dec. 4 and enroll in January. And he isn’t thinking twice about his decision. He said his recruitment is shut down and he isn't talking to anyone else
This the kind of stuff we would get from previous staffs
