Don't let him anywhere near Grind2Glory if he visits, or the dude will run from here like a scalded dog.

Maybe, I tried to get my cousin Davante Bourque to Miami last year. When he received his offer from Miami last year he couldn't believe it. The only bad thing about Davante was he wanted to be the only running back in last years class and he knew Duke was great after we watch his highlights on youtube. I went to LSU and I'm currently in graduate school at Univ. of Louisiana at Lafayette and there is a bunch of Miami gear on both campuses. Number one is LSU, then Alabama followed by Miami. Miami's gear is all over the Mall's in Louisiana because it sells so well.

Coach Golden need to be visit Louisiana today or tomorrow for Edward Williams & Tevin Lawson. From reading NOLA.com article, it seems like Edward would visit if offered. I live in Louisiana and Miami is huge down hear. Their is a great appreciation of Miami's history down hear.

Maybe you can act as a go between. Seems like you have the internet.

I thought it was just me.

An 11th-hour scholarship offer from Miami has caused Warren Easton linebacker Edward Williams to pause.

Williams, a first-team Class 4A All-State selection who is rated among the nation's top inside linebackers, delayed his signing of a college football grant-in-aid Wednesday after being contacted by the Hurricanes and receiving an official offer Tuesday night on the eve of National Signing Day.

Oregon State, Texas Tech, Tulane and Miami are finalists for his services, Williams said.
Saying that he felt "overwhelmed'' by magnitude of his decision, Williams said he had narrowed his choices to Texas Tech and Oregon State by Tuesday night prior to Miami's appearance.

Miami "called last night and offered me a scholarship,'' Williams said. "So as of last night they became part of my decision.

"Miami is a great school. They produce a lot of great athletes, athletes that are still in the league (NFL). The big thing for me is to make it to the league. That's a goal for me. It may not work out, but that's my ultimate goal.''

Tulane, Williams said, remains "an option,'' but apparently a fading one.
"If I want to stay home (Tulane) would be my option,'' Williams said. "I have considered them, but they're not my main option.''

Williams, 6 feet 3, 230 pounds, with 4.57 speed in the 40-yard dash, said he expected to make a decision "soon, not today, but soon.''

Williams still has a fifth official visit available to him, but he was uncertain Wednesday whether he would use the trip on a visit to Miami's Coral Gables campus. No offer of an official visit had been extended as of Wednesday morning, Williams said.

Williams said he has taken official visits to Texas Tech, Oregon State, Tulane and Louisiana Tech.

"In order to make my decision, I have to talk with my family first,'' Williams said. "And we haven't done that yet. We haven't made a decision.''

Williams said his mother Rose, father Edward IV, sister Eliesha, aunt Denise Williams and paternal grandfather Edward Williams III along with Easton Coach Tony Hull and other members of the Eagles' coaching staff all will have input into his ultimate decision.
Williams said his mother would have the biggest influence.

"I'm going to get through it,'' Williams said. "I'm going going to make my decision, just not today.''

I had to watch Bond's tape again

For anybody who hasn't seen it here it is

I think with Williams, Bond and Figueroa you have to know that recruiting star systems are completely jaded.
There's no way you can tell me that any 5 star linebacker has better tape than Bond.

At worst these 3 guys will be killing people on special teams, at best they will be carting opposing players off on stretchers every game.

This has been discussed at length, but the star system is pretty effective at projecting top-level talent. In other words, the 5 star recruits are by and large studs that have a strong probability of panning out, particularly at running back, def end, db, and wide receiver.

But that in no way means there are not a ton of guys out there that are complete studs who are overlooked. There are just far too many players to effectively pick the "top 100" or 250.

Opponents will be waving for fair catches with other players' severed arms on the field.
