Where does Ed Orgeron end up? As a SEC assistant told me today, “Any underperforming defensive line coaches and/or recruiting coordinators shouldn’t feel too comfortable because Ed Orgeron is going to have a job.” If Louisville thumps Miami (FL) in the Russell Athletic Bowl, it will be interesting to see if Al Golden makes any staff changes on the defensive side of the ball. If so, keep an eye on Orgeron, who loved his experience at Miami from 1988-1992.

Interesting... Now that is a dilemma!

Is it fair to say that if we were to hire Orgeron we would have the best group of recruiting coaches in the entire NCAA?

That has got to be up there with Golden, Coley, Orgeron, Hurlie, and I guess Barrow as well.

So would he be open to being a position coach?? What was he at USC?

Nevermind. Looked it up myself. He's been predominately a DL coach most of his career.

For argument sake, let's pretend Jethro died this morning in a hang gliding accident (what an idiot)... Even if Orgeron showed up (with AG's blessing) on Shalala's doorstep with 6 dozen roses begging for the opportunity to coach here again (pro bono), I feel quite certain she would slam the door in his face.. after sicking the guard dogs on him.
