Ed Not Returning To LSU

Wrong. His just won a national title less than 2 years ago. This had absolutely nothing to do with performance
if it was due to strained relationships and off the field problems he'd be gone. They wouldnt be allowing him to finish the season. They realized he struck lightning in a bottle with Burrow and Brady to get that natty and he'd never get them to that level again so they forced him out. Period.

Manny and his dad would NEVER go for something like this
I know that there’s no confirmation of this but I have to believe that Manny Sr is doing his utmost to keep junior around for as long as possible. We really need to start investigating this angle…his ties to BOT members and fundraising efforts. The pressure needs to be stepped up. We are in no mans land right now. The uncertainty will kill our recruiting class and create an atmosphere where no coach in their right mind would want to come here. Classic example of lacking foresight.

Then you want more of the same. Ed caught lightning in a bottle one time and the rest speaks for itself.

"Caught lightning in a bottle" is such a bizarre excuse for discounting a guy who built one of the best teams ever. Cfb fans have had their brains scrambled by Alabama. Teams tend to get gutted in the draft after winning national championships.

The irony is that if you bother to look at LSUs record up to the 15-0, it shows the exact opposite of lightning in a bottle. It shows a team that was steadily building season by season and then was positioned to make a championship run when the final pieces fell into place (a high school offensive coordinator plus their transfer QB that was thought to be a bust turned out to be a revelation). They didn't bring in some hot shot 5 million dollar a year OC and a 5 star transfer QB with a national championship. ****, even UM had made Burrow look pedestrian in 2018.

6-2
9-4
10-3
15-0

Is not lightning in a bottle. That is the path most championship programs take - improving season by season.

Even when we were dominating college football, LSU still cared more about football and winning than UM did.

On the field performance combined with off the field issues. LSU probably strong armed this deal with some good dirt in hand. Boss move on their part and that dirt will vanish.

Report is that Coach O lost the locker room, including his coaching staff. Once word got to the AD, “surprisingly”, he had a meeting w/ Coach O to begin negotiations to remove him as coach. Dude can win out & it won’t mean chit b/c the locker room is in turmoil.

Interdasting concept.
Plus there’s that ya know blind eye to sexual assaults aspect baylor style…
