CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) — A person with knowledge of the situation tells The Associated Press that NCAA investigators are planning to interview Miami football player Dyron Dye early next week, looking for more information about any ties he may have had with former Hurricanes booster Nevin Shapiro.

The NCAA is trying to determine if there are discrepancies in what Dye told them in two previous interviews and what was written in an affidavit he provided in support of former assistant coach Aubrey Hill, according to the person, who spoke on condition of anonymity because none of the information was to be released publicly.

Hill is among the former Miami coaches who face an unethical conduct charge for allegedly breaking NCAA rules through ties with Shapiro

NCAA is trying to stack the case against Miami in order not get embarrassed.

I was under the impression that once the notice of allegations was delivered the investigation was over.

If true this is bull****. When is it going to stop? If we get any additional Donna needs to shut the NCAA down. Witch hunt for 3 ******* years.

Surprised they're conducting interviews after the case went to the COI. Unless it's a new case, I don't think this is true. Isn't the hearing before the COI coming up in June?

Totally confused here why the NCAA wants to interview a current player on closed investigation? Can someone shed some light?

Unreal. How long are they going to be allowed to dig and dig and dig in the same freaking spots. I don't recall them ever having such a transparent agenda. The USC sanctions were ridiculous but did they go at it like this

I would imagine by now, after such a long, drawn out period of time, Dyron's memory is starting to get mighty foggy.

Last week Dyron noted it was bad, but after this week - it's worser.

AP learns that in affidavit, Dyron Dye says he was intimidated by NCAA investigator in Aug. 2011 interview.

Well clearly the NCAA had investigators going in 100 different directions, maybe some of them were not told to come home.

This is an utter joke if true.

Also in AP latest on Miami/NCAA story: Jacory Harris also alleges NCAA intimidated him in 2011 interview.
