Dwyer vs Miami Central Observations

-I watched Yearby today and I've come to this somewhat obvious conclusion on him. He's a 5 Star running back and one that can lead a team to a championship. Yearby is a pure running back and there's no other better description. His cuts and moves are so smooth it's very difficult to simply wrap him up, as he was dancing all around Dwyer and making it hard to bring him down. The only possible way you can see a flaw in Yearby is that his speed isn't amazing but even with that, he's one of the best running backs to ever come out of Dade and the possible combination of him and Duke Johnson is something Hurricane fans shouldn't be able to sleep about.

All of the Darling might flip stuff will come to an end on Sept. 7 when we beat uf. Miami better stay on him & give him the full court press recruiting because a player of his ability deserves it. Miami has recruited him too long to start getting lazy in the final 6 months.

Could it be that Cook doesn't want to come to Miami because he knows he will never be THE MAN by himself if Yearby their.

Quite possible. I think we'd be pretty set without him though:

2014- Duke, Yearby
2015- Duke?, Yearby, 2015 recruit (Scarlett? Patrick?)
2016- Yearby, '15 recruit, Walton?

I didn't say he was afraid of competition, just that I don't feel he is a huge need.

It was a good sign when Yearby committed to us that Cook wasn't that excited about coming in. That showed me that Yearby is the truth. Never saw the guy play and that sort of respect made me think Yearby will be a good one.

I'd still like Cook, but he'd be more of a do-it-all kind of player - slot, rb, returner... a la Percy Harvin... maybe not as good as Percy and our offense isn't built to showcase a guy like that. UF's ****** spread nonsense is probably a better fit since they don't really have a true RB position and can give guys the ball with their dummy plays. Who knows.

I'm happy with what we are bringing in and really want Dixon in this class.

they don't run that. Urban is gone.

Great write up. Thanks. Love Yearby; don't understand some people acting like not getting Cook is such a huge failure. Both are really good, but I am more comfortable with Yearby. He seems the more mature and stable of the two. I think he is going to be a another great Cane RB. I agree about Darling. Watching some of his camp tapes sold me on him. I liked the nasty attitude of KC, but then I noticed Darling has even more of it. I think both are 5* and cannot wait to see them together. Darling gets extra points for being 1st commit and it the Duke of 2014 to me.

Cook is just a freak. Losing him hurts but skill position players grow on trees in S. Florida. Still, I can't shake this feeling that he will be a busts at UF. Just think he is seeing stars.

Awesome Write up Tito you and Pete have been killing it and now that the games are starting a ton of more info will start coming out and guys will start emerging.

Anybody got final stats for Dixon? Yearby? Cook?

Also highlights of the game?

sfhighschoolsports.com was filming. Highlights should be up soon. The plays of the game were Cooks punt return and the long pass play to #1 where he jukes like 3 guys. Both guys did flips into the end zone drawing personal fouls.

Re Yearby: watching from field level, the kid is just slippery. He's real tough to get a good hit on and gets a ton of yards after contact for a kid his size. His stats won't be eye popping from last night, but he had a couple long ones called back. And props to Dwyer's D-line. They made it tough for Yearby and Cook all night.

Re Dixon: tough to get a read from him from last night as the Dwyer QB was terrible. On the first play he overthrew what should have been a long TD. I will say this...he's huge for a high school WR. I think he had about 3 catches for 30 ish yards.
