Duke projected to win the Coastal again

I remember posters poo pooing VT last year, like it was an automatic win. People were blinded by the mirage of our schedule.

Losing Duke and giving them 21 points had nothing to do with it. Our defense couldn't afford spotting the other team any points and we go and give them 3 scores off turnovers.

Good teams don't turn the ball over. Good teams don't give the other teams scores off those turnover. VT was playing in the same bad conditions as we were, why didn't they cough the ball up at an alarming rate?

Some people were just blinded by the easy schedule . It was quite obvious we were very much flawed . I actually posted we weren't a top 25 team after Unc.

I remember the thread where posters made it sound like VT had no chance, then got rustled when I said we'll make Logan look like a Heismam winner ( which we did). I didn't say we'd lose but we were in no place to take anybody for granted.

Btw, the turnovers made it a blow out, we still couldn't stop that abortion of an offense.

And people should have known that. We lost by 18 points and gave them 21, also gave up a 32 yard TD on 3rd and 17 in a key spot. Should have won the game. But people are also acting like the team wasn't fired up going into the game and creating other false realities in hindsight.

We were sloppy all year, should've lost to Unc but they self destructed in the fourth qt . They only needed one first down and they win, but get a delay of game on third & inches. That's why I don't play the " should've " , " could've" game. It all comes out in the wash.

We weren't good. Margin of error disappeared when we lost our offensive weapons and our quarterback regressed.

Last year it was " we beat them down the year before and they're worse this year". Logan Thomas is god awful and so is their offense". " They suck and just lost to BC". " No way we lose to them this year".

After last year we should have learned our lesson. We are in no place to be counting wins before the game , unless it's Sav St or Famu like teams.

Yeah, because Golden is personally responsible for Duke being a much better team last year than in the past, a team that almost defeated a highly-ranked Texas A&M team.

Their offense didn't take a big hit [Andrew Miller (OC), Logan Thomas (QB), DJ Coales (WR)]. LT just played well against us.

Their defense lost a lot [JR Collins (DE), Antonie Exum (CB), Kyle Fuller (CB), James Gayle (DE), Derrick Hopkins (DT) and Jack Tyler (ILB)].

We watched different games. The score was 23-20 on that 3rd and 1 where they got the Delay of Game (http://espn.go.com/ncf/playbyplay?gameId=332900153&period=4). The drive started with 7:05 on the clock. Even if they get the first down, the game isn't over.

The reason we SHOULD have lost to UNC is because we had 4 TURNOVERS. Mr. Morris was kind enough to give UNC 4 gifts.

I will say this, we fought hard to the end. Even without the DUKE and Morris's gifts we out gained them (556-500).
