I don't disagree. Our defense is beyond concerning, but it's no secret that a talented QB is the difference between winning games and not. Could make that 7-6 argument for lots of teams over the past few years.

You have some valid points. But if you look at the juggernaut teams, most would still win 9 games with a different QB imo. Oregon, Ohio state, Georgia, Texas, even ND, Bama, all have rosters that can step up without their QBs.

Mario has flipped this roster, but are we really seeing profound improvements in the field? In the win column just this year, yes. Overall? I’m not so sure it’s a slam dunk, night and day difference. Maybe it’s an overreaction to this 1H, but we’re still struggling with mediocre ACC teams.
