I believe the precedent was set in the recruiting of him, and that is on the coaching staff...but our stable of backs and the OL that Mario recruited have been too good in the run to let one player decide...nahhhh...going to do something else, unless he is checking out of it based on something he sees.

I will never forget watching Saban having Tua screaming in his ear up like 35-0 against MSU right before half after he put Mac Jones in with like 2 minutes left in the half to get him a few snaps...and then pull Mac and put Tua back in to get injured.

I thought back to Jimmy Johnson and whether he would ever be beholden to a player like that...sure, different times....but I just couldn't even imagine that even with Saban.

You are right...it is delicate. But God forbid Cam got hurt on that last fumble when we could have walked in the endzone running the ball. You think his family or our fans for that matter would be blaming Cam..even if he made that decision? No way.

At what point did I say we were perfect? You said we beat a bunch of teams "with no pulse" as if Duke was about to show us up, and as if UL and VT are bottom feeders. You're part of the issue. It's ok to accept and celebrate what we accomplished while criticising the team and our flaws. It's not ok to use 1 game to invalidate the other 8 games that we already won.
 
I'm not the only one who thought we haven't played anyone. Even before the season most said our schedule was cupcake and it still is. And no I didn't think Duke was going to show us up. I actually said in the game thread that we would come back and win and that I wasnt too concerned.

Even with Bain back there's a production void at DE that Mesidor would fill with a full-time move back to his natural position. Baron is expensive but the consistent impact just isn't there.
