Dont give me the OL excuse....Duke looked slow on kickoff returns as well in these games. Injured?

Like i said, watch Dukes first KO return to get a bead on if he showed up or has checked out early.

Wow. I thought some of you were kinda hard on the OP. This is the "elephant in the room" here. I think we all can agree that unless Duke balls out and runs for 125+ it will be tough sledding. SM COULD flip the switch and remember that he was a top 5 NFL QB prospect in the preseason and ball out but who really expects that? I think its a fair point. Now will Duke lose luster if he doesnt ball out? No. But I think he knows its time for him to make a statement. If Andre Williams can run for 100+ on FSU no reason why the Duke cant.

He has a fair point but this is the wrong week for this ****. I have never seen the board in such open meltdown after a win, much less a win that sends us to 7-0 during FSU week.

Duke is the most talented player we have had on offense in almost 10 years. The kid was a true freshman last year and had his ups and downs against the Kstates of the world. I'm sure he will show out Saturday. These kids will be fired up to ruin the Noles
 
It all goes hand in hand. Someone said the Noles won't stack the box...maybe not but they play with the LBs very close to the line of scrimmage. Morris will have to complete passes either a lot of short ones or some deep ones. And the OL has to show up for real and get to the second level. They haven't been using their size a lot of times. too many side way runs and brings us to Coley, he has to call plays that keeps us from losing yardage.....slow developing plays. So yes Duke needs to announce himself but so does the rest of the offense. And how about using the TEs more often?
 
Yup, these are the games where our stars need to shine. The difference makers need to make a difference. That's how you pull this off.

Duke, Coley, DP are some of the guys that come to mind.

Bottomline: If our OL shows up and does what they need to do then Duke will look like Duke. If they don't (like we've seen in the past in big games) then Duke will struggle for tough yards. This was the case in those big games last year. OL struggled mightily...Duke had no room to operate. Get him to the 2nd level and he will open this game up.
