Duke Johnson 2013 Statistics Predictions

If Duke doesn't get 220+ carries this year, something went terribly wrong.

Just rushing? 18 Per Game?

It could happen, would just mean IMO that others cannot pick up some of the slack.

For 12 games, that's almost 19 a game. For 13, it's like 17.

He's not a full time, 20+ carries a game back, he's just not.

But why not though? People keep saying that but what's the reason why Duke can't have 240-260 carries this season? He's near 200 lbs. Jamaal Charles, Kenjon Barner, and Chris Johnson all had around those carries under 200 lbs in college, and Johnson and Charles are still under 200lbs and have 300 carry seasons in the NFL.

I still don't understand how that can be said as such an absolute. "He's just not."

I give the same example each time:

Jacquizz Rodgers' soph season? 351 total rushes+receptions. He had over 300 in each of his 3 seasons. 5' 6" 196 pounds going into the draft. Played below that in college.

Now I'm not comparing him to Clinton Portis, because Portis showed he was a baller for a long period of time. But, in 2001 he was a 5'11 195 RB with tons of other offensive weapons on the team, including 2 other Future pro bowl HBs, and still managed to get 220 carries.
