There are no quality dt in the state of Florida this year other than ford who is already committed and the kid uf got( Jordan Scott) is his name I believe. No point in reaching for anybody

Who else is Miami in play for nationally at dt? If coach kool the best dline coach in the country doesn't seemed pressed to land another one then you shouldn't either

That's kind of the point - we didn't go after anyone nationally. That could be a richt philosophy - let's not go out of state for a kid. Who knows? Coaches certainly aren't infallible as far as recruiting goes. Can kool identify talent and coach em up? Yep. Can he scour the nation for DTs? Different issue. Anyway, I think 1 DT is not ideal for the reasons I gave. That doesn't mean reach and at this point it's basically too late to get on a kid but I would have liked to have seen us on more OOS kids. This insistence on in state kids for everything is narrow minded IMO.
