Anybody else concerned with the lack of DT recruiting? I understand the argument that we have a decent amount on roster but it's one of those positions like quarterback that you need to add to every year due to the physical nature of the position. This is the same thing we did the first few years of the golden staff and we paid the price dearly later for it. What gives?

Not too much, although I'd like to see another be added in this class. Ford's going to be a DT and he's committed. Then you have Martin who we got last cycle. I do hope that Norton and McIntosh stay as they have potential for 3 and done given their production this year, which they're both eligible to go pro after next year.

I don't see any problem with just taking Ford this class, we have too much depth at DT and too little depth at many other positions to overstock.

Why should we be concerned? DL is our deepest group, we have one of the best (maybe THE best) DL coach in the country and the staff seems set on one DT in this cycle with Ford being the guy.

If anything, I'd say the staff feels very confident with where they sit with the DTs on the team and with Ford coming in this cycle....

There are concerns on the team, but the DL group won't be one of them anytime soon....

We need to get one more. Any successful team invests more in the trenches and you never know how or when attrition will hit

Pay attention. We're not necessarily looking for fat high school slobs any longer. We're going to take some big athletic kids, feed them, train them and move them inside.

Martin will probably be a DT here since he's already 280.

I don't know about Johnson playing inside - he's got perfect size for a DE....

Think they plan on paying DJ inside and out. I would like to take 2 Dts and 2 DE's every year.

Don't know how many times this has to be said before people will start listening.

There are no quality dt in the state of Florida this year other than ford who is already committed and the kid uf got( Jordan Scott) is his name I believe. No point in reaching for anybody

Newberry has 2 4-star DTs this year (Parks and Durden)....

Don't know how good they are, but they're rated highly, like Ford....

Kool has a lot of connections in Texas. I wouldn't be surprised if a late bloomer surfaced late in the process..

D.J. Johnson is a monster. I wonder if they are comfortable with just one DT considering that he might move to the spot later or play as a hybrid de/DT.
